Dread Rune Is a roguelike RPG with 3d graphics and lots of variety and replayability. Every game is unique, with seven different playable characters, randomized levels and enemies, and over 120 items to collect and use. The game is simple to get into, but has lots of depth. Mastering of weapons, combos and strategic use of items will be required to win.

Dread Rune includes:
- High replayability: Randomly generated levels, enemies, and items. No two games are the same!
- 12 hero classes: Adventurer, Pirate, Mage, Drunk, Conjurer, Lord,Pump-King, Blink, Ranger, Soul Mage, Necromancer and Chef. Each hero has a unique ability, starting stats and items.
- 5 distinct dungeon regions: Each with unique enemies and environments
- Over 100 different items: including powerful runes, scrolls, weapons, and armour.
- 30+ different enemies, 10 different traps, and 5 bosses to test your skills.
- A destructible environment, create your own path through the dungeon.
- Character upgrades that persist across runs: Damage, Health, Stamina, Speed, Dash Speed, Carry Capacity and Special Cooldown.
- Random events, sometimes good, mostly bad, discover all 15 of these encounters
- Updates, with new content roughly once a month.

Hades

Dark levels that reminds you of the underworld, boons from gods for completing the levels, it feels like I saw this somewhere… But about the game: it’s rlly easy like extremely so, but the worst thing is: it’s dull. The same 5 levels over and over and over again… I can see how this game could be big, but for now imma gonna uninstall for space

Howdy Cookie Lord. Well you’re just going to have to take my word for it. I hadn’t heard of Hades when I started this venture of creating Dread Rune. I was instead heavily inspired by another popular title, Pixel Dungeon. I was absolutely addicted to that game. I loved its focus on inventory management and using items creatively and at the right time…. The release at the start of the year had no ‘boons’. That being instead, you got me! Then, of course I played Hades. I was heavily inspired by boons, they just added so much flavour to each run, its a system that lends itself well to Dungeon Crawlers. I still like to believe Dread Rune has more in common with Pixel Dungeon than Hades but I see your point, I think it's a fair assessment and review. Improving each region to feel more bespoke has always been on the roadmap. There's a lot I’ve added to keep the game fresh, 110+ items, 17 events, 5 bosses, unique enemy sets for each floor, changes in fauna and debri, a change in texture, map size, spawn rates etc… but I agree, as it stands, each region still needs some added flavour. The issue here is file size begins to grow. One thing I enjoy about the experience is there are no additional downloads required to play (unless you have to download a language pack) but this will eventually need to change. For a completely free mobile game, I think I did alright. Check back in half a year, I think each region will be able to tell a better story then. All the best, James
