It’s a good start point

It’s an ok app to start practicing and the fact that you have a teacher for your self helps A LOT.However, is a matter of finding a good teacher. The true is that most of the people here are not teachers so not all experiences are good. It took me a while to find a good teacher and also to realize the type of help they can provide. If you find a good one, it can be a good experience to practice talking and making excecicses without expecting deep grammar explanation.Also the fact that this app automatically charge you per month… I find it a little tricky. Specially considering that you cannot see a teacher schedule till you pay …. So once I payed and my teacher was not available during the summer ….

Hello!Our subscription model allows users to have 1-5 hr/week, cancel or pause it anytime and also make free replacement with tutors of their choice. Bugged and takes money with no service
That was not good
I feel completely ripped off by this service. The webpage consistently denied my password, and even the face recognition on my phone failed to work, so I decided to try the app—but I faced the same issues, with password errors at every turn. I booked three lessons through the server—two were great, but one never happened due to these frustrating technical problems, and now I can't recover my money. The teacher is unhelpful since he has already been paid, and the customer support from Preply has been utterly ineffective. I'm incredibly disappointed and frustrated; I simply cannot afford to lose this money. Thank you, Preply, for making me wary of online services again—I will revert to traditional methods and support local students directly by asking for lessons from now on.

Not fair commission

Tried with a trial lesson, it turned out that payment fully goes to Preply and teacher works for free (didnt know slavery still exists). Moreover when tried to book few classes ahead it adds ~12% fee (they say to be able to pay tutors fairly) but when you check their web page T&C they charge 30-50% the teacher as well. So why do you charge both parties?
