Cancelling orders, bad customer support
19 Oct

I’ve been using foodora for years without any problems. But they cancelled my last order saying my address was incomplete. My address was in fact complete and I’ve been using that same address for a while without any problems. The delivery driver didn’t call nor belled the ring. When I reached out to customer support I could only talk to an AI agent. And I could only get the information that they cannot deliver it to me afterwards, and they can start the refund within 8 weekdays. I couldn’t talk to it more neither cause after it the chat just ended. This is totally unacceptable to not be able to do the only thing this app is used for then lie to my face without the possibility to reach a real person and then not getting the refund on the same day. I highly recommend not firing the real people in customer support (if there are any left), because the way it “works” now is just useless and outrageous. I wont’t use foodora in the future if it stays this way.

Customer neglect

I had Foodora for years now. I never had a problem with ordering food or anything. However, recently my orders kept getting cancelled. I understand that the weather conditions are not ideal in the winter but the app said that the restaurant is preparing my order. I waited hours and at the first hour I contacted customer service to ask about my order, they said I just need to wait a little more, that’s fine. Then after another hour I ask again and the customer support says that no driver will take my order to deliver it to me so he will just cancel my order. I’m sorry but can’t they ask someone to do it? I even offered a large tip but they said it’s not possible. Now whenever I order and contact customer support with an issue they never try to solve it and try to force me to agree to cancel my order. It would feel nice if they actually tried to come up with a solution other than to immediately force a customer to delete the order. When I asked if it’s possible to contact the restaurant or the driver about a given issue they immediately responded that it’s not possible. It feels like Foodora as a whole doesn’t care about fixing issues or pleasing customers since I hear many similar stories from other people about long wait time, lack of help, food not being delivered etc.

Foodora makes you hungry

I waited for one hour for my food order, which was ultimately not delivered. Following the closure of the establishment, my order was canceled, leaving me unable to place an order from another provider. As a result, I was left hungry, and no adequate action was taken to address the matter. I was offered a voucher worth 700 HUF as compensation; however, this amount does not even cover the cost of delivery, rendering it insufficient. This resolution suggests that the company places minimal value on its customers. The food delivery service failed to fulfill its obligation, leaving the customer hungry and dismissing the issue with an inadequate and, frankly, humiliating coupon. Furthermore, the customer service team provided only a generic, templated response, promptly closing the conversation without offering a meaningful solution.

Poor customer service

Ordered food with 30-40 mins expected delivery time. After an hour wait, I called the restaurant who claimed that they hadn’t received the order from foodora, must be a technical problem with the app. I decided to cancel my order but it wasn’t possible because the restaurant was “preparing my order” according to the app. I had multiple email exchanges with foodora “helpdesk” that was no help at all. The delivery guy called two hours later when I was no longer home.Of course they could not issue a refund, it wasn’t foodora’s fault. Unprofessional customer service, poor quality app. Zero star. Please don’t copy the message that you’re sorry and I can contact your help desk because I’ve tried and they’re useless just like your app.
