Ratings and Reviews
I should have gotten it sooner
I recently got the 100GB plan and it is so worth it. I can access all of my documents for school anywhere. I no longer have to make sure I download documents on both my PC and iPad. With this, they are basically synced. I love it.
Utterly slow syncing
1. I don’t care about recent files and activity on the home tab. Why can’t I turn off that tab or hide it?
2. If there are only a few files or folders, the recycle bin and search buttons are in the middle of the screen. Why do we need to have dedicated buttons for these operations when we can long tap items and delete them? Why do these two buttons need to dynamically move with content? This looks bad from ui perspective.
3. Why is there a separate offline files section on the home tab? Why can’t I turn it off? Offline files and folders could be tagged.
4. Why can’t I lock the application and use face id or pin to unlock it? This isn’t safe like this.
5. Windows installed applications create files in the documents folder and if these application folders contain any image for example: visual studio icons, then they will appear in the photos tab. What the hell? Who tought this is a good idea?
6 why do I need to have albums and tags buttons on the photos tab?
Overall the application looks and feels bad. From ux and ui perspective there is a lot to be changed. Take a look at apple’s files application. It is more minimalistic in look, and it feels much better to use. I wouldn’t pay for one drive until these things don’t get fixed.
So many problems
I have 365 Family yearly subscription. My app doesn't have a Featured tab at the photos, but all whom I've shared the subscription has it. I am the person who pays for the service and I don't get the whole thing. Also if I delete a picture in the OneDrive application it doesn't get moved to the Recycle bin but gets deleted right away.
When I open a Word/Excel/PowerPoint document with the open button that supposed to open it in the Word/Excel/PowerPoint app, it says error and I can't open, while I can if I open it directly in the application.
Another mention is that it would be nice to pin folders, that could be accessed in the OneDrive home tab. Please fix these
