Are you joking?

Guys, it seems to be joking but I cannot laugh...
In general, I would be really satisfied with you IF you would manage the regulatory requirements as it should be. I understand you need to satisfy them. But why don’t you perform ALL required steps BEFORE I could start using your service?
I have account and card with you, since appr. 2 months, in general you have very good service. But suddenly, without any pre-notification, you just simply blocked my account, I cannot engage my money (ok, not too much there as I read similar comments and I was careful), there is just a simple message stating you need to perform extra checks. And within 48 hours you will contact me. Ok, time is ticking, it’s almost over...
Seriously, what would happen if I would receive my salary to you and I would be facing with this fancy message and the only option could be just waiting for the next steps....!?
Please, please, please, try not to frustrate others and perform the checks in advance, before you would block accounts and let your customers to be really satisfied...

Stolen Money and Chargback Form

I really loved Revolut helpdesk. They were kind and helpful, and after somebody stole my card and charged almost 2000$ from my card. After that happening I talked to the live agent, followed the rules and what they told me. I was advised to fill out the chargeback form and attach the police report while the fake charges were just pending.

Then they authorised my money without my approval (while the amount was still pending in the system) and 2 weeks later they ask me: can I ask something about your police report? So, nobody dealt with my case on the merits, did not use the information immediately and check the reports - and of course now, one month later they are ignoring my complaint with ridiculous reasons. (did not see "gyanús tranzakció" (suspicious transaction) / I did not fill out the chargeback form correctly)
I am really disappointed.

No go privacy

You need to buy a new phone or you just lost your old one and you want to mitigate your data to the new one? Well, good luck! Revolut FORCES you to take a selfie online in app in order to use your OWN Banking app where you store Your Own Money! If you don’t consent you can forget about your savings! That is of course illegal and is a crime! I hope to see them grilled in an international court! Take your money and run! And delete the app! And those people who’s account got closed without reason or they don’t have access to their money and they still give 5 stars have the lowest self esteem and a completely sick mind because they keep these criminal companies alive.

Thank you for reaffirming that it is implemented in your app. The implementation is obviously your own decision, no regulators have required you to do that. Since you initially don’t possess a selfie picture of your customers, it cannot serve as an “additional security layer”, because there is no comparison picture to it.
You blackmailing your customers they can only use their bank account if they provide a live selfie picture is definitely unlawful and against all privacy regulations and therefore illegal and must be fought by all legal means!

Hi there. Selfie authentication is an additional security layer, implemented in order to make sure that it's actually the account owner trying to access the funds on it. Unfortunately, it won't be possible to skip this step, or use the back camera for the photos for security reasons. As for the closed accounts you mentioned, we are always guided by the regulations that apply to us and the decisions made by our team are fully justified having taken into account the information they have considered.
