HONOR WorkStation on macOS is effectively non-functional. After installation, the app fails to detect any HONOR phone or tablet and displays errors such as “Current device does not support account-related features” and “No devices found” despite being on the same Wi-Fi network and following the in-app connection steps.The onboarding is misleading. There is no proper setup guidance, no clear troubleshooting flow, and no reliable documentation. Even HONOR’s own UI only shows generic instructions. There is also no meaningful user community or tutorial coverage on YouTube to resolve these issues, which indicates poor adoption and weak ecosystem support on macOS.This is inconsistent with HONOR’s marketing claims about seamless cross-device connectivity between HONOR phones/tablets and Mac. In real-world use, the product does not deliver the advertised functionality. The app feels unfinished and not production-ready for macOS users.Based on this experience, I strongly regret purchasing HONOR Magic Phone and Magic Tablet for cross-ecosystem usage with MacBook. The interoperability promise is not fulfilled. For users who rely on stable multi-device workflows, I do not recommend HONOR devices for macOS integration. Staying within a mature and consistent ecosystem is currently far more reliable.
