Small improvements.

You can now preview the widgets and see how to add them, anytime, right in the app.

Minor fixes and improvements.

Now in Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Thai, Vietnamese and Ukrainian (18 languages in all).

iCloud sync (Pro) is now on by default, so your phrases match on every device without any setup. You can turn it off in the menu. Cards of the same colour are now easy to tell apart.

New: change your widget every hour (Pro). Refreshed store page, too.

Refreshed store page and small improvements.

• Pro: choose “Word of the day (English)” or “Stoic quotes (English)” as your widget’s Content. 365 of each are built in and work offline — a new one every day. • New menu item: “Switch my widget's phrase”. • Fixed: the free widget could stay locked, backups only included the phrases in the current filter, and the daily phrase could repeat or skip on daylight-saving changes in some regions.

Added Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, Traditional Chinese and Russian. The app and widgets now work in 12 languages.

Kotoba now speaks Indonesian and Simplified Chinese. The app and the widget follow your device language. On first launch, Kotoba now opens straight into writing your first phrase. After you save it, a one-time guide shows how to add the widget to your Home Screen (not shown if you already have one).

Three additions to Pro. ・Widget looks: choose the font (standard, serif or rounded), text size and alignment for each widget. Long-press the widget → Edit Widget. ・A new one each week: alongside daily, phrases can now change at the start of each week. ・Import a backup: bring your phrases back on a new device. Exporting a backup is free (menu → Export backup).

Six widget sizes. In addition to small, medium and large on the Home Screen, Kotoba now fits on the Lock Screen (inline, rectangular and circular). Pro gains “A new one each day”: one of your phrases, changing at midnight, narrowed by tag if you like. Long-press the widget → Edit Widget → set Display to “A new one each day”. You can now export your phrases as text (menu → Export phrases).

• Fixed text that was hard to read in dark mode. On a dark screen, the title and the search field could sink into the background. • Added anonymous usage reporting to help improve the app (the app was opened, a widget was displayed). Never the phrases you save, and never your name, email, advertising ID, or location. You can turn it off under Privacy in the menu. ■ Fixed a bug where Pro could switch itself off after you had paid When the purchase could not be read (no network, signed out of the App Store, just after a restore), the app treated it as “not purchased”. It now stays on until Apple actually reports that the entitlement is gone.

Added Kotoba Pro, a one-time purchase. The free version still lets you keep 20 words and place one widget. Pro removes the limit on words and lets you place as many widgets as you like. Nothing you have already saved is ever removed.

・Added English. ・The app now starts with a few sample phrases, so you can try the widget right away (remove them all in one tap). ・Fixed a bug where the add button was pushed into the corner and hard to tap when you had no phrases. ・You can now send feedback from the menu.
