Either way the transcript builds in front of you, segment by segment, with timestamps down to the word. RECORD OR IMPORT Record directly into Transcrypt with pause and resume, ready to pick up where you left off. Or bring in a file you already have, audio or video, and have the speech in them recognized as text. WATCH THE TRANSCRIPTION ARRIVE Transcription text appears as you talk, with accurate speech-to-text running in real-time. Long media files are transcribed in the background with a live preview, so you can read the beginning while the end is still being processed. PLAYBACK & FOLLOW ALONG Play a transcript back and the current segment stays highlighted and on screen, down to the word. Click any timestamp to jump straight to that moment. Jump forward to the next segment or back, scrub, or slow it to 0.75× when someone's talking fast or speed it up by 2×. EDIT WITHOUT LOSING ANYTHING Click any segment and fix it in place. The original wording is kept alongside your edit and one click restores it — so correcting a misheard name never drops what the AI transcription actually recognized. TRANSLATE ON DEVICE Translate a transcript into any language pair your OS supports, entirely offline. Translations are aligned segment by segment, inheriting the original's timings, so they play back, highlight, and export like the source. Keep as many as you like, switch between them freely, and edit them the same way. VIDEO AND CAPTIONS Imported video can show its picture in place of the transcript, with the current caption floating over it. Click a caption to edit it without leaving video mode. EXPORT SRT, VTT, Markdown, or plain text — from the final text of the transcript or any translation. BUILT FOR PRIVACY Speech-to-text and translation both run on-device using Apple's on-device speech transcription and translation frameworks. There is no internet request carrying your audio to cloud-based models. ON-DEVICE AI MODELS Language and translation models download once per language on first use; everything after that works offline, even without being connected to the internet.
