Easy to use, but cancelled flights still show.

This app is very easy and transparent to use. No hidden costs, you can add bags etc as you go along and when checking available dates to travel you can see the differing prices on different dates.
At the moment though, I think aer Lingus are struggling a bit with the volume of business and changes of flights and forced schedule changes resulting in massive volumes of work for customer support etc.
I was recently informed of a schedule change and my afternoon flights were moved from afternoon to 6.30am. For me it’s not a holiday getting up at 2am to get ready to go to airport, so I cancelled and looked for a refund, which I think I am now getting after about 6/7 weeks, but the frustrating part was that the flights I cancelled continued to show up on the app and even prompted me to check in. Frustrating because I wondered if I’d cancelled correctly, so I cancelled them again and they still showed on app…

I would say that if you could I would think that for a more enjoyable experience that you could pre order food on your European flights especially the breakfast I love it personally the flavours and tastes are Devine except for a fried egg and toast which I understand is hard to be able too make on a plane flying but I do think if people can pre order food it makes the experience with aer lingus more personal because your sitting in your seat and the steward or stewardess brings it right too you without a fuss it's lovely if you could do that that's all I would say otherwise everything is amazing I love flying aer lingus because there's no stress involved like Ryanair lol

Can’t do simple stuff like displaying a multi-city trip

Never mind allowing me to manage a multi-city trip, it won’t even display the details. Why is it that The app can’t do something that most other airline apps do easily?

Probably due to similar opaque reasons that have made it impossible (in my past experience) to manage any trip on their website that wasn’t booked directly through Aer Lingus. Or the inability to check in online for a US-bound flight departing Dublin if you have a US passport. Or the way their systems reject bookings made via partner airlines(like United) using airline miles, days after the transaction, even though their API told United’s system that there were seats available.

...I really wish Aer Lingus had used all that money from their rebranding on improving their IT systems and the resulting dismal user experience instead.
