doing what do best. Being on the 📺
TV is as good as you would think it is. Awards are proof of that I guess. There’s still some room to make the app as good as the original content though, the version on my LG smart 4K has a lot of trouble with pausing the content and remembering the status for the watch now function, if I pause something for longer then a few minutes it resets itself every time, which is infuriating! The iOS version is great, as are iPad and Apple TV versions, so I’m thinking it’s a cross platform sync problem caused by LG ,but that shouldn’t be happening and it shouldn’t be my problem either! So, room for improvement? Yes. Do I mind that? No, not really, I’m not thinking about that right now because I’m enjoying Sam Jackson do his thing tonight in The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey! ©️😎
Long Way Up is inspiring
Charley and Ewan are buddies who bike and make good television. They don’t have an agenda except that they come across as good humans who can be funny, curious, great Producers, along with Russ and David.
Now, when very interesting tech (e bikes and pickups) and some of the most beautiful scenery imaginable is added into the programme, the results are watchable. Ewan, even takes the fandom, that occasionally is included, in good spirits and seems to be very genuine. Charley is fantastic and keeps it on an even keel. Long Way round and Long Way Down are in the same mould.
Well done.
“TV” is Worst Streamer App (Not About “TV+”!)
Brilliant white screen before and after viewing, most unsuitable for viewing comfort. Why? Others use black.
Apple doesn’t “give credits” to those who create the content - Shame on Apple! It’s effectively impossible to study end credits screens by pausing them, as you are in a constant, losing battle to hold off the next episode. Each time you press play to advance to the next credits slide, the viewer re-minimises, and - instead of having some chance of quickly pressing pause again in time for the next slide - you have to re-enlarge the viewer to stop the 10 second countdown to the next episode cutting the end off, thereby losing any chance of pausing the viewer in time for the next credits slide.
