Version 1.85
- Posts can now be shared in direct messages. There's a "Send via direct message" item available in the post menus.
- You can now temporarily deactivate your account.
- Lots of visual improvements, including new icons on posts and a new post-composer animation on mobile.
- Quoted posts which have been moderated are now more visually distinguished as the target of the moderation
- Some users will see an experimental follow button on user pictures in the feed.

Twitter Without the Musk
Ok so look be a while to get an invite, I got one eventually. Generally I like Bluesky, has a very similar UI to Twitter in the app and on the Web.
Not utilising hashtags is a strange choice. It uses the “my feeds” to generate getting content out there. Although not so great for those with less followers. Hashtags are a great way for others to find your content. Without it it’s almost like talking into a void. Should possibly rethink that one.
It will be interesting to see how Bluesky evolves when it goes live.

Great community, few features that still need to be added as it’s in beta stage but overall the vibes are good.
Still waiting after two months
Requested to join the platform about two months ago and still nothing. I keep updating the app when updates are available. I’m waiting for a platform I can join that is an alternative to Twitter. But the way Bluesky is going about developing users on their platform is using up any interest I have in the Bluesky. I won’t be updating the app again and will delete it. I gave you a chance and you messed up.
Update: As far as I’m concerned Bluesky blew it, now that Instagram Threads has come along I’m moving on. Can’t be bothered waiting on Bluesky to get their act together. So I’m going to be deleting the Bluesky app.
