The proven C25K program was designed for inexperienced runners who are just beginning. The plan's structure prevents new runners from giving up and challenges them to continue moving forward. Solid app for beginners

Using with a Series 8 Watch and iPhone 12. Just finished week 2. The app works as expected and follows a typical C25K plan. It’s designed with a simple interface, which I’m happy with as a beginner. We don’t really need to know fancy confusing stats.

I typically use the watch app on its own and leave my phone at home. A little voice calls out to tell you to run/walk when needed and it’s easy to hear without headphones on. It’s very easy to read at a glance. Has never failed to sync the workout back to my phone. It syncs everything to Apple Health/Fitness app too so all the stats from the Apple Watch are there.

I haven’t used the music so I can’t really comment on it and just found the forums on the app today too.

After the first week I decided to upgrade to get the full app. It’s a little bit pricey at €5 something per month, but I guess people don’t really use it for very long. Maybe 1/2/3 months.

Very happy

I am delighted with the app, it’s an eight week program to get you from zero to 5k. I am into week 4 now. I found the first 3 weeks nice and easy gradually building up both fitness and confidence. Now I’m into week 4 and it is getting more difficult but I am now enjoying the challenge and the buzz after pushing through the longer sections. This is something I would never have believed I would do as I used to hate the idea of running.

V basic app

I’m on week 8 of this app now. Overall I feel it’s nothing special and I wouldn’t use it again.
>The music selection is awful.
>It requires location on Always, or it does not record your route. This is not normal, other apps are fine with While Using.
>It provides v limited metrics, no pace for example which seems to be on every other running app I’ve tried out.
>Around week 6 it jumps from max 10m running to 20m, 22m etc. This is a v big jump. I’ve only done the 5k programme on this so I’m not sure how they normally go, but I feel a lot of people would not be able for the pace of progress expected.
>No option to plan routes, no suggested routes.

All that said I’ve managed to keep going without injury. I did have to scale back my other exercise though as the running at this point leaves me v tired.

But really overall it’s incredibly basic and expensive for what you get so I think you should look around!
