Walter presents
I mostly watch Walter Presents and am grateful to have access to interesting, more intelligent films and series from various countries and cultures. Currently I am watching The Push which is filmed, produced and edited from live material in an extraordinary way. Good to see such high quality.
Annoying!
The amount of ads is unbearable! There’s 3/4 ad breaks in every show and each segment is about 3 mins long. May as well watch it on the tv, at least there would be some variety in the ads. There’s only 8, maybe 10 different ads and the same one often repeats in the one segment. It’s great that’s there’s so much content for free but the ads are off putting. Other services reduce the amount of ads the more it’s used. It’s also annoying that I can’t link the app to a tv. I can mirror everything else from my iPad to my Apple TV except this app.
Subtitles
The app works pretty well, it is virtually flawless. But one significant issue for me is subtitles as both me and my mam are hard of hearing. My issue with the app isn’t a lack of subtitles (although I do wish there were more subtitled shows) but with casting. Subtitles work fine when viewing on my phone but aren’t available when I cast to the tv. This is really frustrating as subtitles are essential for me. I hope this can be fixed in a future update.
