You have to call them to cancel your subscription
It’s truly a scandal the way some of these companies operate. Excellent journalism, yes, but unfortunately at a pivotal moment like checking my subscription, I see that you have to call a number, stay on hold for 30-40 mins to cancel your subscription. BE WARNED! There is nothing technically blocking this company from implementing the ability of the company to cancel through your account.
Review
I’m new to the FT. In my view there is no bias other than rationality . Less businessy than one might expect. Similar in many ways both to the the points of view and standard of writing in the economist which is no bad thing - though the FT view is expressed more firmly editorially in my view.
Great, but small issue
There is no obvious bug tracker so I’ll post here. App is great but when I listen to FT News Briefing and leave the phone, it stops playing when device locks or when screen goes to sleep, whatever it does by default after about 30sec. Really annoying. Its on IOS 13.1, iPhone 11. And what is interesting is that after I pick up device and hit play button on lock screen, nothing happens, almost like some sort of permission is missing. Then I unlock screen, open app again and hit play.
