Amazing app
Very useful tool for my job. Helps me to earn more. Highly recommended. However, the sat nav in the app needs to be improved to recognise the bus routes that can also be used by taxis to shorten the journey. The navigation assumes a private vehicle and avoid such routes. For example, when going from George’s street South to O’Connell street in Dublin City Centre, taxis and buses are allowed to turn right onto Dame street whereas private vehicles are not. But using the in-app Sat Nav would simply direct the driver to turn left and thereby taking a long route instead of the right turn for the short route. If a passenger is not familiar with such routes, they start questioning why the driver is not following the navigation when driver is actually making the best decision for the benefit of the passenger.
Constantly crashing
The Driver app has been very bad according to my experience for the last five years. There were a few good features and it’s all taken away now and it’s always crashing at the airport and kicking you out out of the queue constantly wasting the drivers livelihood and time. Last half an hour, it crashed six times.
A feature I’d like if you’re on a job and if you have a pre-book showing up the free now sense that the man is already doing the job so they would say find another driver, but it is no more.
Very little improvements . And now they have taken with the gift card for the branding ambassadors.
Customers not in location town or county
There is a real problem with passengers not in given locations. If a passenger hops into another car it should detect moved away from pickup area and at speed and auto cancel the job. I had a job Sunday Mullingar to Dublin booked 2.45pm sat for 8.45am Sunday . Customer was in Dublin 7 going to finglas . Not even the same town or county. It should ping customer phone to confirm location beforehand to avoid this. Maps at min also don’t auto correct route if you have to avoid traffic jam
