FIXED THE IRISH
i love the app but i’ve seen lots of people complain about my beautiful language and i’m appalled by your lack of interest in getting the exact translation could you please fix it or hire someone who is fluent in Irish as some people would like to brush up on their Irish and maybe could forget some things that they knew or didn’t know about thanks
Usually Incorrect, use with caution!!
The Irish translations? What actually happened there, Google???!! I am honestly disgusted by the lack of effort put into the translation of this language. I understand that not many people speak Gaeilge, but you are only making it more difficult to learn, because the translation of Gaeilge into English, through Google Translate, is a laughable option.
Did you know that when anyone types Luain (the Irish word for Monday) into GT, it translates to Mná (the Irish word for women). And that is not, by far, the worst of it. I sincerely hope you fix this atrocity, or at least appoint a fluent Gaeilgeoir to fix it.
You are discrediting your translation services. I will not use Google Translate for any other language now, as I am worried they may be as badly translated as Gaeilge is. I encourage my friends and family to use more reliable sites to translate any language now, as my experience with GT has been so horrendous.
Gaeilge is an ancient, beautiful language and deserves to be honoured, not ravaged by your useless translation attempts.
Update and Chinese 🇨🇳😭
It used to be my favourite app for checking Chinese words! I could take a picture and select the word I don’t know to get the translation. The new scan option immediately translates the entire text and now if I want to check a single word or sentence from a text I have to handwrite it, which takes a ridiculous amount of time.
Please fix it because this is the worst user friendly approach I have seen in years, since I have first started using it.
