The minimalist home
This book is simply brilliant! If you live in clutter and don’t know where to start this book not only will tell you where to start it also helps you deal with the problem of having too many things. For years I have struggled to part with everything and anything until I read this book. Often the amount of money I spent on an item would stop me throwing it away even though I didn’t have space for it or simply my children have outgrown it! Along came Joshua Becker my Florence nightingale with his magical book saving me from any further disparity, I just wish I had discovered you sooner and not wasted soo much time already. Armed with my armour of the purpose and need for an item I am slowly clearing livable space in my home for my family and I. Cleaning is quicker, I am more organised and not soo dreading the hum drum tasks to be done to keep the show on the road. It does take time but be kind to yourself and get the whole family to buy into your new minimalist- simple life of less things.
A much needed friend
I’m on day 5 after a break up. On day 4, I was overwhelmed by a crippling feeling of rejection. My mum( thank God for mothers) told me to read something about rejection to get my head straight. I couldn’t have coped with a textbook, and read a review of this book. I had such a good today emotionally because I read it. The kindness, the lack of judgement and the lighthearted, hilarious at times, absolutely rock solid advice has put everything in perspective, from “Of course he was great or he wouldn’t have been allowed to spend time with you”, to “You are a Superfox”. It just ticks all the boxes, and now my darts of pain are minimal, and less often. Because I forgot that I am a Superfox and now I remember. Also, you’ll learn how not to do it all over again, and end up here cause you didn’t acknowledge the signs. Or (and I love this bit).” You are in love with not having your needs met.” Loved every word of this.
Love this app, but...
I use this app every day on my iPhone or iPad & absolutely love it.
My only suggestion would be that there was some way of identifying which books I have read from those I have yet to read. Maybe some sort of marker identifying them as read or unread?! I tend to keep 90% of my purchased books on the cloud to save space on my phones storage. But there is no way of identifying the ones I’ve already read and then stored from the new purchases I have yet to read. I waste hours every week having to download titles to my device & then deleting them again trying to figure out which are which.
Other than that I find it really easy to use and a pleasure to read on!
