Horrible to deal with
Ordered food over an hour and thirty mins to arrive. I sent a picture of the foods stone cold and very visibly inedible and I got an email to say that an hour and thirty mins is standard and that they would not replace the food or offer a refund. Each time I got in touch I got somebody different and each of them said the same standard response they have obviously been told to tell all customers when they receive a complaint. I have deleted the app and will never order through them again!
Awful app
Total scam. Avoid and use alternative ones as you will never get the trouble you get with this app with others. Have been using since last year at some stage with no issues, went to order food last week and it tells me I cannot proceed order as I have orders that have not been paid for so these must be paid for, I dismissed these alerts as I was doubtful, cancelled the order I had not yet processed also, only to find they had taken the money for the two orders that “had not been paid for yet”, which didn’t match any of the amounts in my saved recipts, did some investigating and found that the orders are from months and months ago, and there had never been a time when my account didn’t have the funds in it or a time when I received an alert that I didn’t have enough. They also took around another €10 in added on fees to these orders and other random transactions that I never authorized. I blocked my card but the money was still taken out. Customer service is NON EXISTENT evidently, and clearly judging from the other reviews for this app, I am not the only one who has encountered these issues. (I have not seen one single decent review of the app and other people I know have had issues with this app also). A complete joke I won’t ever use any of their services again based off this experience and I will be spreading the word to everyone I know to save them from having to deal with them in the future.
Two faulty orders in a row
I have used Uber eats maybe twice in a year. The first time I got the wrong order and as a celiac that made the wrong order impossible to eat. Uber got back to me a couple of days later about this, there was no new order sent out within the evening.
I ordered from Uber again last week and the chicken wings were hanging out of the bag touching the delivery mans cooler bag. He said you probably don’t want those right? I was like yeah I’ll probably leave off the exposed chicken during covid thanks. I email Uber about it and they accused me of lying because I have had two problems with them.
Well I’d like to point to my clear track record with deliveroo where I just seem to get the right order (in boxes that aren’t broken imagine).
Terrible service. But I feel particularly offended that they’re blaming me. I sent clear pictures of the wings hanging out of the box.
Do I have deep fried chicken wings hanging around in Eddie rockets bags hanging out of cooler boxes on bikes next to a delivery man? I wish, but sadly not. Just truly poor derives. Probably time for this lot to focus on the taxis.
