Strangely you can buy the print edition in shops before th ipad diction is available. What's the point of that?

Don’t subscribe,buy print edition.

The new app is dreadful, a cheap scan of the paper magazine. Pages load with obvious page breaks, the format is not reader friendly, text is tiny and cannot be changed, only expanded which is like expanding a picture - it quickly snaps back to original size. In short, all the drawbacks and none of the advantages of the print edition. Previous versions of app were great, user friendly and optimized for online reading. It seems VF do not want online subscription...

Also the online version appears 10 days after the print edition. I am a subscriber. I pay for the magazine. It would be great to get it at the same time as the print copy is released. Again, don’t VF want online subscribers?

Lost issues: the app has a serious bug.

I had a subscription to Vanity Fair through the Apple Store. It expired on 13 April 2018. I suddenly noticed that all my past issues have disappeared from the app. I did try the following: restoring purchases, re-installing the app but no success; the same problem on any iOS device, I use.
One thing though, I think my subscription was to the US edition but it now appears that the app only shows the UK edition (I could be mistaken but the app used to have a red icon, it is now white).
Could it be the previous app connected with a US data base and the new one doesn’t. Puzzling
Im waiting for a resolution of the problem. I hav written an email to the UK subscription service.
