The Penske ClearChain app is designed to provide Penske Logistics customers with real-time visibility on their shipments.
By downloading the free Penske ClearChain app, customers can:
• View updates on routes operated by Penske’s dedicated fleet or transportation management services, showing whether a pickup or delivery has been completed, the arrival time, completion time, address, and type of business.
• View a map showing current locations of their vehicles.
• Set up watch lists of select truck routes they want to monitor closely.
Penske ClearChain is designed to provide an at-a-glance view so anyone who manages a supply chain can stay connected while on the go. It is available for customers of Penske Logistics’ dedicated fleet or transportation management services and requires appropriate log-in credentials.
more New RouteStatus option to switch between the route name and the BOL as the on-screen route identifier. It's available in the menu in the upper righthand corner.
Another new RouteStatus feature: for Penske employees with access to multiple customers, it is sometimes useful to sort the selection list by district number instead of grouping multiple districts by customer - so now there's a button at the top of the Customer Chooser for that.
RouteStatus update: when filtering a listing, "route name" will check 2 different fields depending on the user's route identification selection. It will filter based on the route name or the BOL, not both.

Other internal bug fixes for rare issues.
Fixed issue with incorrect list retrieved for LiveTracking listings.
2.4 02/03/2023
Brand new module: "LiveTracking" (see your manager or Penske contact for access)
LiveTracking provides a look at OTM data like RouteStatus but from a Shipment/Orders perspective. Instead of seeing Routes in transit or completed and then drilling down to the Stop level, users are presented immediately with a filter/search screen and dashboard counts of shipments that have Not Started, are In Transit, or are Completed. Drilling down in this case means getting to the Orders that are on these Shipments.
On the Dashboard screen, users can see the current live counts of Shipments in the three categories Not Started, In Transit, and Completed. Any changes to the filter fields immediately updates the counts above.
The Shipment Listing displays each shipment in each status category along with its orders. It is also possible to display shipments in all categories at the same time.
The Shipment Map is a visual representation of where each shipment, according to the search/filter values) are. The initial collection consists of In Transit shipments (red and green.)
The Shipment Details screen, besides displaying essential details in a collapsible section, shows a map of the stops for the shipment’s route and a scrollable list of the stops (also collapsible.)
The Order Details screen is like the Shipment Details screen but from a different perspective. In addition to a list of stops, the user is provided a visual map and a list of shipments the order may have been on.
Some small UI enhancements and bug fixes have also been implemented in RouteStatus and FreightStatus.
2.3 11/01/2023
- The display of Stops for dynamic routes has been modified to show only one line of date/times: the actual arrivals and departures.
- Special characters (such as ampersands) are now available for your password.
2.2 05/05/2022
- Registration page has been updated to allow user to specify a customer location, and request different security access at some point in the future.
- Map overlay functions are now disabled during truck animation to avoid disturbing the screen.
2.1 08/04/2022
Welcome to ClearChain 2.0!
This version represents a complete translation of the codebase to a more modern language that will position us much better for new features and enhancements. The new structure is more optimized and should feel a bit faster in certain places.
In terms of the "look" of the app and current features, not much has changed. However, you may notice something here or there that looks a little different.
The biggest visual change is in the Route Status module. If you are looking at a truck animation, you will notice a redesigned HUD showing more than just the speed of the truck.
This is a big update in terms of app development. Every line of code was translated. Some were eliminated, others added. Feel encouraged to report anything we've missed, any bugs or even things you notice that are working better.
