You are an operator on a global grid. Somebody pays you to get into a machine you have no business being inside, take the one thing they asked for, and leave nothing behind that says you were there. Every connection starts a countdown. ROUTE IN Bounce through relays scattered across the world map. More hops and harder relays buy you time. A direct connection is fast and puts your own address in their log. BREACH UNDER TRACE Crack the security stack layer by layer while the trace climbs toward you. Recon first and you learn what you are walking into: how many walls, how hard, and which two have a gap a bypass kit can slip through. Go in blind and you find out the expensive way. Deep systems want more than a password. Mint a one time code from their own token seed, or ride a session somebody else already authenticated. Plant a toolkit beside their seeds and that machine hands you a code every visit for five hours. TAKE IT AND GO Read the files. Copy the archive, drain the vault, rewrite the record, plant the payload. Then overwrite the access log, because the line it keeps has your address on it, and disconnect before the trace finds home. THE WORK Jobs come from sixteen clients who all want different things and say so in their own voice. A grade fixed before a scholarship review. A record scrubbed a week before an immigration interview. A charge filed against somebody who never earned it. A company whose real machine does not face the internet, reachable only through the gateway you have to read properly first. Or the one job where nobody breaks in at all: a client was hit last week and cannot tell you how. They hand you credentials. Read their access log, find the intruder among a dozen honest connections, name the service that should never have been exposed, and say which file went out of the door. WHAT YOU LEARN ON THE WAY Real services on real ports. A field manual that fills itself in as you meet each one, in plain language. Firewall rules, address ranges, jump hosts, second factors, why a log matters. By the third job you will know what 5432 is without anyone telling you. OTHER OPERATORS Build a subnet of walls, honeypots and tarpits, because other players raid your credits while you sleep. Scout them first, take thirty percent on a clean breach, and watch the replay. Join a crew and climb a season. Free to play. Server authoritative. No ads.

You are getting two updates in one. Version 1.7 never escaped the server room, so everything from that update is included here too. - The machines have learned to talk Every machine now runs real services on real ports. You will see things like 22/SSH, 5432/PostgreSQL and 3389/RDP in the console. Not sure what any of that means? Your Field Manual fills itself in as you discover new services and explains them in normal human language. Give it a few jobs and you will be spotting PostgreSQL from across the room. - Some machines are hidden Not every target is sitting out in the open anymore. Break into the company’s edge gateway and steal its proxy configuration. It will reveal the internal machine you can reach and the port the firewall has left open. Get the details wrong and they will change both, just to keep you busy. You can also take the messier route. Infect the deployment share, spread through the network and wipe the nightly backup. If everything is back online by breakfast, did you really hack it? - Password correct. Access denied. Some high-security gateways now use two-factor authentication. Cracking the password is only step one. Generate a valid code from the target’s token seed, or hijack a session belonging to someone who already logged in. If you plant your toolkit near the token seeds, that server can keep generating fresh codes for you for the next five hours. - This time, someone else broke in A client was attacked last week, and they have no idea how it happened. For once, you are invited inside. There is no countdown, no need to hide and no wall to break through. Read the access logs, find the intruder among the legitimate users and identify the service that should never have been exposed to the internet. - The more of the mystery you solve, the more you get paid. Helps reduce your notoriety level. - The job board has stopped repeating itself - Tokens do not upgrade your hacking tools, your credits do. - Tokens can be spent on a hardened shield, one extra chance when you are down to your final life and a calling card to leave behind on every machine you raid. Because if you are going to cause trouble, you might as well sign your work. Also included: - Raids now take 30% of the target’s funds with no upper limit. - Raid money is spread across multiple accounts, so you can grab a couple of quick transfers or stay longer and risk taking the lot. - Defences can now be upgraded from Mk I to Mk V. - Every tool can now reach level 6. - Every machine has two weak defences. Recon tells you which ones. - Clients now open the file you return, so sending them the wrong one will not get you paid. Good luck out there. Read the logs, check the ports and try not to lock yourself out.
