It’s been over a decade since the original Hipstamatic turned the iPhone into a vintage camera. The all-new Hipstamatic X adds even more old-school lenses, cameras, and film to the mix.

I love Hipstamatic. I use it a lot and I purchased almost all the effects and packs they released. But the app has become old and buggy so I was delighted to hear there is a new version Hipstamatic X. Thrilled, I downloaded the app, expecting to see all my effects appear there or be restorable or something. But no. Now I am expected to pay a monthly payment for stuff I paid for, or pay a big one time sum. I am sure we will soon see the old Hipstamatic app will lose support... it has already had lots of ios13 issues that were not fixed. I already had a Hipstamatic app that I paid for and was canceled (forgot the name but it was a retro dark room). This is not a way to treat loyal customers and exactly what is wrong with the App Store. You buy in app purchases but no one promises you how long they will be supported. The app itself looks incredible. I love the Hipstamatic products, but they should have gave the effects bought by their loyal customers or if changing the model to monthly, to give a lifetime to those who purchased a lot.

Old version was great, do you really think someone will pay a membership fee for packages they already bought?Not a friendly user interface. Another failed attempt to revive this app.I’ll stay with my old hipsta version.New version - Deleted!
