Version 1.7 brings more powerful search, flexible workspaces, and smoother previews and file operations. • Lightning Search now uses its own local file index, with visual filters and advanced search expressions. • Content search shows results as they arrive. Preview, open, or copy available results while searching continues. Changing conditions clears old results and shows search progress. • New static workspaces update only when you save. Opening one returns to its saved folders and layout. Choose automatic or manual saving when creating a workspace, and switch modes in Manage Workspaces. • Split panes can be opened as separate tabs. • Customize folder icons to make important folders easier to recognize. • Drag files or folders onto the bookmarks bar to add shortcuts. Drag folders into Common Paths to add frequent locations. • Folder windows in Super Preview can show files from nested folders in one sortable, flattened view. • Preview animated GIFs. Improved video playback controls stay easier to see and use, including with portrait videos. • A Delete shortcut is now available in the right-hand preview. • Clicking outside a preview opened from search closes only the top preview, keeping search results available. • Folders First persists across tabs and app restarts. The Sort menu also offers Remember Folder Sorting and Grouping. • Optionally show available disk space in the status bar. • Clearer highlights identify folder drop targets. Dragging to reveal Floating Files opens its Staging tab by default. • Improved iCloud Drive listings follow Finder visibility settings and address duplicate or missing folders. • Fixed search and PDF preview crashes, and application-list and icon loading in Open With. Improved selection and dragging in large folders, plus inline naming for new files and folders. • Improved SMB and WebDAV connection and authorization handling, bookmark management, and menu alignment. • Switching Apple accounts on the same Mac retains previously verified purchases that remain valid on that installation, reducing interruptions. Subscription expiration dates are unchanged.

1. Fixed file drops between panes and windows failing to copy or move files. 2. Shortened Shift hints during dragging and prevented clipped instructions. 3. Deleting multiple files now updates related panes and windows immediately; failed items reappear. 4. Fixed incomplete sorting after loading folders in batches, which could make downloaded files difficult to find. 5. Improved reimporting Finder favorites. When macOS does not return favorites, choose folders from the system file picker's sidebar. 6. Fixed Folder Sync incorrectly reporting an access error for an accessible folder. 7. Application icons remain visible in Open With and default-application menus. 8. Fixed reordering workspaces by dragging to the end of the management list.

1. Folder Sync can update either side or keep changes flowing in both directions. 2. Preview changes before syncing and choose how to handle conflicts. 3. Schedule saved sync tasks to run daily, weekly, or monthly. 4. Other sync items keep moving while iCloud files are downloading. 5. Browse folder trees with the arrow keys to expand, collapse, and move up. 6. Select multiple files by dragging from empty space in List and Columns. 7. Drop files directly onto folders in List, Icons, Columns, and Gallery. 8. Drop files onto another tab or pane to send them to its folder. 9. Common Paths and Floating Files now accept file drops too. 10. Hold Shift while dragging to switch between copying and moving. 11. Renaming to an existing name now clearly reports the conflict. 12. Long names wrap while you rename, so more of the filename stays visible. 13. Renaming in Columns and the sidebar is clearer and more reliable. 14. Long names in cloud folders no longer cover date and other columns. 15. Alternating List row colors stay consistent after scrolling. 16. Hide the bookmarks and workspaces bar to give files more room. 17. Remember each window's size and position for your next session. 18. Recent opens in the main workspace instead of a separate dialog. 19. Filter Recent to the past week, past month, or your own date range. 20. Pin favorite folders above the current folder's regular sort order. 21. Group files in List, Icons, Columns, Gallery, and Floating Files. 22. Folders First now lives in Sort, keeping the main toolbar simpler. 23. Choose the default sort for newly opened folders. 24. Widen the Name column freely to see more of long filenames. 25. Date colors now offer Light, Medium, and High Contrast styles. 26. Start in Desktop, a chosen folder, or the location you last used. 27. Open folder results from Global Quick Search directly in DirDeck. 28. Change where Floating Files appears from its own settings. 29. Customize the top or side activation area for Floating Files. 30. 1.5 updates the toolbar, folder information and search actions, with fixes for restored tabs, shortcut recording and renaming. Toolbar and sorting • An uncustomized toolbar shows icons only, with Sort last and AirDrop in More. Existing icon-and-text preferences are preserved. • More now includes icons for commands such as New Tab, Quick Look and AirDrop. Customize Tool Order and Visibility lets you arrange and show the actions you use. • Folders First is off by default, so files and folders follow the selected sort together. Turn it on when needed; existing preferences are preserved. Tabs and file actions • Fixed a brief blank view on the first switch to a restored tab after reopening a window. • Open duplicate locations when needed, then use Remove Duplicate Tabs or Shift + Command + K to tidy up. Pinned and multi-pane tabs are kept. • Fixed unresponsive shortcut recording. Record primary or alternate shortcuts, then choose Apply. Improved rename entry from Return and context menus. • Fixed unintended opening after dragging in single-click mode. Copy, Cut and Copy Path show brief status feedback, which can be disabled in Interaction settings. Folder information and previews • Select a folder to calculate its contents size in the Inspector. Incomplete scans of large folders show a lower bound rather than presenting a partial total as complete. • Folder and archive contents load as you expand them. Browse subfolders and preview files in the Inspector; double-click a folder to navigate there. • The Inspector offers Rename and Copy Path. Improved Sony ARW identification and Illustrator previews; preview availability depends on the file and system support. Global search • Each result has separate Copy Path and Open Directly actions. Copy keeps search open; Open Directly uses the default application. • Full-width separators connect each filename and path to its actions. Click the result body or press Return to locate the file as before. Bookmarks and network locations • Bookmark folder disclosure arrows sit beside their names, making the relationship easier to see. • Mounted NAS shares with an identifiable server are grouped by server. Expand a server to access its shares instead of seeing every share at the top level of Locations. Dates, filenames and appearance • Choose full or relative dates independently of colored date backgrounds. A color guide explains how to identify recently modified files. • Choose where long filenames truncate in icon and gallery views. Browse the gallery with arrow keys, and configure blank-area double-click to go up or back. • Choose native or colored sidebar icons and list thumbnails by file category. Date templates for new filenames offer presets and placement without adding unwanted separators. Extraction and reliability • Faster ZIP extraction, especially for many small files. Keep browsing and selecting files during extraction, or cancel the operation. • Fixed a global search indexing issue that could cause sustained high CPU usage and abnormal energy consumption on macOS 15. Improved cancellation when switching previews and background work.

• Floating Files brings staging, Downloads, bookmarks and saved folders into one window, with window and thumbnail resizing, inline folder expansion, and move or copy drag-out. • A configurable Floating Ball offers pane navigation and file actions, with customizable double-click, hover actions, order and transparency. • List view supports configurable columns and inline folder expansion. • Improved rapid tab switching, dense-folder browsing, window resizing and preview-width preservation. • Fixed global-search cancellation and repeated background work that could leave search waiting and increase CPU usage. • Fixed Floating Files reveal and Quick Look actions, and removed the active border when returning to a single pane. • Improved cloud-folder icons, archive file previews and PDF-to-image export with clearer quality choices. • Fixed bookmark deletion and selection. Built-in new-file templates remain blank, with a neutral Excel sheet name. • Context menus show available shortcuts, including Cut. Update reminders link to the changelog. • New Diagnostics exports a local performance report with anonymous operation events and available historical system hang stacks. Nothing is uploaded automatically. • Settings are organized into Basics and Special Features. Automatic Floating Files placement prefers the notch when available, preserving saved choices.

DirDeck 1.3 makes everyday file organization more convenient: • Add saved SMB, AFP, and NFS network locations directly from the sidebar, with protocol-specific guidance and address examples. Rename, reconnect, or remove saved locations in one place. • Create tags directly from the sidebar and choose their colors before assigning them to files. • Import Finder favorites and customize sidebar navigation. • New installations open with a balanced window layout and preview enabled. Existing window and preview preferences are preserved. • Refined sidebar controls, preview resizing, and file-browsing interactions, with reliability improvements. • Update checks continue while the app stays open, with a redesigned reminder and options to hide it for today or this week. • Fixed mixed-language sidebar and empty-folder messages after changing the app language.
