Pretty good; not quite perfect

Switching between notes in a section or between sections is a notebook is convenient as long as there's not too many of each. If there are, I'm missing a way to automatically sort them (the sections or the notes), say by alphabetical order. You *can* sort them manually, but that's well, manual.Switching between different notebooks is far less convenient.Similarly, I'm missing a way to search only among topics or only among note headers. Search is only available in the entire notebook.
works as advertised

It's a bit confusing at first, but once you're used to the strangeness of the unstructured page, it's a reliable, syncable, cross-platform app. Some of the powerful writing features of Scrivener are missing, such as notecards and synopses for pages and sections that allow you to keep track of large and complex writing projects. (It DOES, wonderfully, allow to open a single document in two side-by-side windows, so you can scroll through notes at bottom and directly copy into a draft at top.) For anything more complex than a letter or blog post, it's worlds above Word and only really beaten by specially tailored apps for authors. It's a great place to throw your notes and keep them decently well categorized and available.
Size Limit & No Support
Bar Carmel
I have been summarizing my professional expertise for several years now on OneNote and my notebooks have become very large as they include:Links, hyperlinks, images and gifs.I recently realized that if I want to continue summarizing without fear of my work being deleted, I need to switch software because OneNote is not really supported by Microsoft on the claim that it is "free" and it also has a size limit that creates serious data synchronization problems even if you pay for additional storage space on OneDrive. So for those who are planning to build a personal information source within this software and think that someday it will exceed 2.5 - 5 GB, let me save you the headache because support will not help you... you will find another software without a size limit.
Good but not enough

Ive only recently started to use the mac version of oneNote and its pretty good. However, its no where near as good or as reliable as the windows 10 version or even the ios version. Scrolling on pages with more then 10,000 words is laggy almost to the point of unusable. as far as I can tell its also missing some features such as the feature to insert symbols. while its good enough for writing down the occasinal note, if I had to compre this version to the windows version, the windows version is miles ahead of this. not to menation how bad this version is when it comes to converting to PDF or printing. pretty disappointing to be honest.
