A promising start ruined by poor execution!

After giving this app several chances, I am finally done with Arc Search. I’ve been using Arc on my Mac since it launched, and I’ve promoted it among my friends ever since. When Arc Search was introduced, I was excited and gave it a try. Initially, it was disappointing, but it improved over time, especially when the sync feature arrived, which made me switch to Arc Search as my default browser. However, things went completely south when the app stopped feeling smooth. Suddenly, the animations stopped working. By animation, I mean any little interaction within Arc—from clicking the + icon to opening the tab stack, to simply performing a Google search—everything turned into an “instant” transition mode. This made the experience extremely annoying, subpar, and practically unusable, especially when compared to Safari, which is highly superior in terms of consistency. I’ve tried reinstalling the app and contacted the support team several times. They replied to my first email but then didn’t care to follow up. Truly a pathetic team! It feels wild that I used to be such a fan of Arc for their bold approach, but now it’s come down to this. Arc Search has descended to the lowest depths of performance. Do better.

Have been using Arc as my main browser in my mac from a year, and it changed the way I have using browser with its folders and workspaces. Its a very good productivity browser. Have downloaded this app today, and so far very kuch liking this. Only thing thats stopping me from making this my default browser is the lack of lock screen widget which can directly take me to the search screen. I do lot of dumb searches everyday and having a widget on lock screen makes search quicker with less clicks. Hope we get a lock screen widget like how google did for search. And one more small feature request would be an option to select predective results and continue with adding more info. Currently we have to type everything

I am a student and when I heard about arc, I couldn’t wait to use this amazing browser because how easy it made everything look! And then I got the beta download link and I have been using it since then on my laptop and on my iPhone! The team has done amazing work making arc what it is today and they absolutely lived upto their quote “Meet the new internet” because this, is an experience like never before. Seamless transitions? arc does it. Easy and better tab management? arc does it. Speed? It’s fast!! And now this “Call Arc” feature!! This is soo extra yet useful! I can see myself talking to arc for the better part of the day!! Kudos to the dev team and I hope we have some more features cooking in the Arc HQ!!
