So you think you understand this thing you’re holding? Think again. Stop tapping. Stop swiping. In fact, stop touching the screen at all. To crack Blackbox’s puzzles you’ll need to find solitude and stillness, climb mountains, call on friends, get in tune with the cosmos, and think outside the box.
Minimalistic visual clues make for incredibly satisfying “Aha!” moments, while sonic interfaces provide an extra level of guidance and nuance that makes Blackbox accessible with or without vision. Thoughtful haptic feedback, Easter eggs on Easter eggs, and solutions that can’t be found beneath the glass of your screen redefine what a puzzle can be. This is a hotfix! iOS 17.4.1 broke some stuff, but I fixed it (hotly)
■ Fixed a certain double dark-teal challenge that was crashing on launch.

The most ingenious thing about Blackbox’s puzzles isn’t that you solve them without tapping or swiping. It’s that you’ll happily spend hours figuring out the game’s subtle clues. Do you need to tilt your iPhone, shout into the speaker or do something a lot trickier? Thinking creatively and finding the answer feels deeply rewarding, even profound—earning Blackbox an Apple Design Award.
Love the game. A little bug.
Hey people. Nice game, neat user interface I love it all. There’s an issue. Every time I open the orange puzzle (4 Orange Boxes *spoiler alert* to which answers are max. Volume, min. Volume and locking the phone). I couldn’t figure out the fourth one. So after a few days completing other challenges, I thought why not plug in the lightning connector and it would probably light up the box. So I did that. I opened the app and bam. The app crashed. And it still does. Every time I open the orange puzzle with/without my lighting connector plugged in. Hope you fix this.

It’s pitiful how addicted I am to this
I stumbled across this app in my recommended and thought why not. Holy moly I definitely do not regret it. Just got it this morning and I’m already h o o k e d.
It’s clear that Ryan(the creator of this little gem) has put a hell lot of thought into this. Also the little bits of humour really have me 😂. So Ryan, thank you so much for making in this. I’m broke and can’t buy you a coffee but hope this is good enough!
Also shoutout to Gus for the AMAZING soundtracks in this!!
