UPDATE: the latest version seems to support the complex characters well. Updated the rating accordingly. This is the best free open source Office for the iPad.

This is a good app if you want the familiar interface of LibreOffice on the iPad but it doesn’t support typing with complex characters (such as the on screen Tamil keyboard). Also there is a noticeable lag between typing the characters and the feedback leading to frustrating errors at times. However in terms of interface and features this is really the best free/open source office tool for iOS. This app requires a bit more polish to become a real productivity office suite for iOS devices.

I have opened a lot of apps for replacing Microsoft Office, but this is the best app which supports all the Microsoft 365 formats but I only have one issue .. in the text file, I’m not able to increase the width of the border because there is no such option given, kindly recheck and update the app

I was trying to edit a DOCx document in Pages but it was not opening it properly because of the missing fonts, and then I spent a lot of days to install fonts but Pages failed to open the docx document in its actual style. Since Pages didn’t work with it, I searched for many options in App Store and I found many other programs including MS office which was pretty expensive and then I finally found this app which simply opens the DOCX document in the same style as it opens in a PC and it let me edit, and it also let me save that as PDF or many other different formats. So this is amazing app. BIG thank you to developer.
