JanamApp is a multilingual mobile application that provides pregnant women with culturally sensitive information and resources related to pregnancy in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Gujarati, Tamil and Bengali. The information is evidence-based and provided by fully registered doctors, midwives, and other professionals working in maternity care in the UK.
It includes information about the entire pregnancy journey with simple video illustrations, changes in the body with sketches, changes that may occur in behavior, and information to aid understanding of various scenarios that can occur.
It also includes local healthcare emergency phone numbers and educational content on topics such as prenatal care, nutrition, labor and delivery, and information resources for postpartum care and a local maternity care unit for individuals.
