So previously I had given it a one star because it couldn’t export my 7 second animation due to memory overflow issues. I still think it’s an issue but the devs got back to me saying my files could be of a higher resolution. I wish the app handled memory better. Like I am okay with my exports being slower but memory overflow shouldn’t make it crash. Rather make it so that the app processes it in chunks that devices can handle. This app has so much potential with the intuitive UI. I think if they can improve stability, this ones a no brainer. Also, i’d really like to see vector layers and brushes so that one can export in resolution’s like 4k if needed. If they have both bitmap and natural feeling vector brushes I i’d be sold. I can see it being a passion project by the devs with all the thought put in behind it and am hoping for it to get better with time.

Hello, it is probably due to a lack of available RAM and/or storage to process the export of a large shot. What is the pixel definition of this shot?There is no sheets or layers number limit in Callipeg: the only limit is your available storage and ram memory. The larger and longer a shot is, the more space and memory it will need.Could you contact us via email to contact@enoben.com with more details about what’s happening? Including your iPad model, your .peg file,... it would help us understand what’s going on. Thank you.

Bro There are more than 1000 things you can do in the app , and they are continuously updating the app with the features. The team is small unlike procreate still managed to make this app possible is a great thing . Transformation layer with keyframes and drawing while playing the animation are the best features you can imagine in an animation app. You can animate with endless possibilities. Stop crying over the price , Every penny is worth the price if you just buy the app directly. Let's help the developer as they neither market themselves nor sponsor someone like procreate . Procreate is good for drawing and illustration stuff but for animation it's trash . I have used toonsquid as well but they never cared for there customers (didn't give any update since I bought that app).

Also introduce the distortion in transformation layer.And sure you can rise the price as it a lifetime service with one time purchase and make the app best one among all it’s competitors that people can’t help but be stick to it.

It lacks a lot many features but have all the basic tools.

Although, unlike 3d software, 2d animation software doesn’t require a lot many features but it does need some of the crucial feature like blending modes, folder, color banner for different layers, way to install 3rd party brushes, gradient tool, a 2d camera, cliiping mask over other layers.I took a monthly subscription to check this software and used it for my current ongoing project for a client and it's great, I love it, but now and then It truly disappoints me and I feel like I could have just gone for clip studio paint ex, as it was my all time tool for animation on iPad. I was finishing a scene and I though to light the character with gradient using color dodge by clipping it to the below layer and guess what, not a single one step can be done inside the software, no gradient, no blending mode and no clippingmask. Also I found that size of a shot file is very big compared to other animation software, this takes up a lot of space on my iPad.I know you guys are working hard on this app but pls try to release some of the features. I love this app, very smooth, very creative, thanks

Hello, I am Benjamin, co-creator of Callipeg. Thank you for your feedback. We are planning to add features like clipping masks, folders, camera and other brushes in the future among other ones. The only question is what to develop first.Regarding the file size, the exported .peg file a compressed archive but when it is in the Studio or opened it is uncompressed to get the full performances and open faster. That’s why the .peg file is way lighter. When you don’t need to work on a shot anymore, export your .peg to store it on a Cloud storage or somewhere on your iPad (outside of the « On my iPad > Callipeg » folder because if you uninstall Callipeg, it will also delete the Callipeg folder of your iPad which contains your shots).Thank you for your support!
