I’ve been using this for screen time reduction for over a year, and I even renewed my subscription this year hoping things would improve. Unfortunately, the main feature still doesn’t work reliably. The app fails to track time most of the time. It shows 0 seconds unless I manually open the app first, which defeats the entire purpose of automatic screen-time tracking. All permissions are enabled, yet it still doesn’t record usage properly. As a result, it simply doesn’t help in reducing phone usage.Another major red flag is that the location has to be kept on at all times for the app to work. This should be optional. It feels unnecessary and intrusive. To make things worse, when I tried to request a refund, the app said I had no purchases, even though I’ve paid twice: once last year and again this year for renewal. The only positive is that the app is beautifully designed. The UI and layout are genuinely impressive. But good design with broken functionality is useless.I’m deleting the app and won’t be renewing my subscription again. I regret giving it a second chance.
Thank you for your valuable feedback and for your positive comments about the app's design! Regarding the issue with screen usage time not being logged on most days, this may be related to system settings or the app not running in the background. Please ensure that OffScreen remains running in the background to accurately record your screen usage time. If the issue persists, we recommend contacting us at feedback@md.studio with more details so we can assist you further. Thank you for your support!
