Good app but still has ads even if you purchase the paid version

God app for words but needs improvement in UI/UX. I have made several purchases that were claiming to be ad free but I’m still seeing ads. So it’s bit confusing how come they are misleading. Hope the developers read this review and look into making the app an ad free experience once we make the purchase.

Bugs and missing features

I’ve been using this dictionary for about 2 years now. With every update you guys screw the app up. It crashes/freezes all the time. If I search 2 or 3 words consecutively, it would freeze. Another thing is the app doesn’t show the highlighted letters when you spell a word anymore. For example - if you search the word ‘ Application’, it would show the spell as ‘ap-li-key-shuhn’. It doesn’t highlight the letters ‘key’ in the spell like it used to before and like it does on the website. Website is way better than this app.

A few bugs

• I saw that word of the day on the widget and I clicked on it, out of no where it lands up on 5th March’s word of the day. Today is 4th April. (Did not happen once).
• On the homepage of the application the word of the day is always for no reason the word of the previous day. Today’s word on widget is “leporine” and the word of the day inside the application is “Cackleberry”.
• In the top left menu, meanings, acronyms, pop culture etc take just too much time to load then normal even if the phone is connected to a good internet.

- Feature that would be good to add -
It would be good if we have an option of customizing the widget, as someone want a light mode widget and some want a dark mode widget no matter the phone’s on which ever mode. This can enhance the widget experience.

Thank you. You people are doing a great job.
