adidas Running is an activity tracker which caters for all levels of ability and experience, offering the ideal platform for beginners to start tracking their running journey and log activities. To help introduce new users to running, numerous adidas Training Plans are available which give step-by-step guidance and adapt to the level of individual users, including for 3K, 5K, and 10K distances. All Training Plans adapt to the users' fitness level as they train, making the Walk to Run ATP the ideal introduction to running, whatever your previous experience. As you progress, explore other Training Plans for guidance on preparing for your first 10K, half-marathon, marathon, and more.

Joining adidas Running is a step-by-step process, which starts by downloading the app and using your personal details to create an account. Next, set a goal, as this helps provide motivation with a target to track your fitness journey. You can start tracking and logging activities immediately, with almost 100 activities available including; running, walking, cycling, hiking, climbing, tennis, and yoga. Users can also take advantage of Health Connect to sync activities with a range of apps, including Garmin, Polar, Amazfit/Zepp, Coros Suunto, Wahoo, and many more. Syncing can also be achieved using different devices, making tracking progress easier than ever.

adidas Runners Communities are groups of people looking to stay active together, bringing more fun to fitness. Find a Local or Global Community and track activities with like-minded people, whatever your pace. Activity didn’t get counted towards chalenge

I walked down 37 Kilometres on the 4th of September but my activity did not get counted for the “Your monthly 30 Kilometres” challenge. I just changed my sport type to “Walking” before starting my walk and ended it on completion. But it is not counting towards the challenge. I haven’t added anything manually.

miCoach was so much better

1) One should be able to reschedule the plan beyond the last date. Life gets in the way, sometimes one can’t keep up with the marked dates. There should also be an option to just roll over the dates to next date automatically. It was there in miCoach app.
2) The speed zones do not match my actual levels. What’s the test run for?
3) You have the test run before every training plan ! When you literally have my each run data since, I don’t know, 2016?
4) The Apple Watch app has so much to improve. One can’t select the data one wants to see while running. (Zones don’t match of course). No voice coaching. It hangs.
5) Also, can there be just a no end “Run Date” training plan. Just check my last run/exercise/ fitness-rest level/ general goals/history and suggest a run. AI anyone?

The Need for iOS Widgets in Adidas Fitness Apps

Everything else is perfect, but it's 2024 and this app still lacks iOS widgets. It's been four years since Apple launched widgets, and now iOS supports responsive widgets, lock screen widgets, and more. As a User Experience designer, I find these features should available asap. Competing fitness apps are leveraging these features to enhance user experience, allowing users to easily check progress, post-workout results, challenge statuses, and earned badges. The Nike fitness apps, for example, excels in this area, which keeps me returning to it, despite the excellent design of Adidas apps.
