MP4 Animations created in the last 2-3 days have issues
Eversmiling13
I have been using this app to create lots of illustrations and animations for my portfolio. I have been loving this app so much, but I observed that the MP4 Animations created in the last 2-3 days have issues. Files app & Photos app : When I tried to export to my iPad files, it is not playing when I open it. It is not even detected as a video and I am not able to save it to my videos from the file. Instagram : If I try to export the MP4 directly to my Instagram post, it keeps saying “Posting” but nothing happens even after waiting for a long timeGoogle drive : I tried exporting the MP4 to Gdrive and then download it to my files, but the video is not recognised properly and hence it is not getting downloaded. I also tried downloading it on my phone, but I got blank Green video with no content in it.HEVC : I also tried exporting as Mov format. Though video plays, the video looks corrupted. Kindly look into this issue ASAP since many of us who use this app to create animations would not be able to do it till the fix is provided. Thanks in advance 😊P.S. I love this app so much ♥️, which is why I am explaining so much so that I can get this issue sorted and continue using this
Developer Response
Hey Eversmiling - thank you for letting us know about this issue. It sounds like the export issues might be relating to file and/or canvas size. If you can, please send one of the troublesome files to us in the Procreate format. You can do this via the Support Form at support.procreate.art. 😁
Frustrating Export and Shape Rendering Issues,Lackluster Support-Procreate Lacks in Care for Artists
Keyur—
I hate to leave a negative review, but my experience with Procreate - Sketch. has left me frustrated and disappointed. There are a few big problems I've come across that just haven't been fixed. First off, whenever I export my artwork, the picture quality drops. The colors and details that look great inside the app just don't look the same once I save them, which is a big problem for someone trying to create professional work. Then there's this weird issue with diamond shapes. When I make anything with diamond cut shapes or just regular diamond shapes, they don't look right. There's some kind of rendering problem that makes the shapes come out all wrong, which messes up my designs. I've tried reaching out to the customer care team about these issues a bunch of times. They've been pretty unhelpful, giving me standard responses that don't solve anything. The worst part is, it's been 15 days since I last heard from them. They've completely stopped replying to me after I sent my last email. It's really disappointing because I thought Procreate would be my go-to app for drawing and painting on my iPad. I've heard so many great things about it, but now I find myself having to look for another app that can actually do what it says without these huge problems, and also has a support team that listens and helps out artists.

This isn't the experience that we would like our users to have and we would like another opportunity to make things right. May we ask you to reach back out to us via our Support Form (procre.at/support) and include a copy of your review, so that we can prioritise support for you? 🙏
Disappointing Experience with Procreate
Rejoice001
was really excited to try Procreate on my iPad, but it turned out to be quite a letdown.First of all, the interface isn’t as intuitive as advertised. While it might be great for professionals, beginners like me feel lost trying to figure out even basic functions. A steep learning curve and lack of proper onboarding tutorials don’t help. The performance was another major issue. Despite using an iPad Pro with iPadOS, the app occasionally lags, especially when working on larger canvases or using detailed brushes. It’s incredibly frustrating to have to deal with crashes during a creative session. What’s even more disappointing is the lack of cloud integration. In an era where most apps offer seamless syncing, Procreate feels outdated by not allowing me to easily access projects across my devices.Lastly, the app doesn’t feel worth its price tag. There are better alternatives out there with similar features, and some of them even offer better support for collaboration and file sharing. To make things worse, when I tried to request a refund through Apple, it was rejected, despite the app failing to meet basic expectations. This only adds to my frustration as I now feel stuck with an app I cannot use effectively.Procreate may work for seasoned artists with patience, but for an average user like me, it’s been more trouble than it’s worth. I hope the developers address these issues in future updates, but I can’t recommend this app based on my experience.

Hey Rejoice001 - We are sad to hear that you did not find Procreate meeting your expectation. In terms of tutorial, you can find a number of different helpful guides to get started with Procreate via the Help tab in your canvas. To access this, head into a canvas and tap > Actions (wrench icon) > Help. We would highly recommend checking out the Beginner Series (Get started with Procreate) as well as Procreate Handbook. As for the performance issues, they do not sound like expected behaviours and we’d love to investigate for you. Could you please reach out to the Customer Care team via procre.at/support and provide us with more detailed information, such as your device model and iPadOS version? We’ll help however we can from there. In terms of refund, as the app developer but not vendor, we're not able to process any refunds because all purchases and refunds are handled by the App Store directly. If you are having issues getting a refund, we'd recommend reaching out directly to Apple Support and seeking help from their team.We hope the information above sheds some light on the situation. If there's anything else we can help you with, please don't hesitate to let us know.
OK. We went too far. This update sharpens the corners of your Gallery thumbnails. It also calms down the height of Animation and Page Assist and fixes an issue in 3D painting where you couldn't import meshes without normals.
Remember that all your custom brushes are available in the Classic Library by pinching the brush panel, or tapping the Procreate Library title.
