I love the dark mode of Royal Roads; the dictionary is pretty helpful and the read loud, even though I tried it only twice, can be very helpful for visually impaired people. Overall, Royal Roads provides a very neat reading experience and the novels are pretty entertaining as well. Compared to some other web novel websites where you can find some garbage on front page, Royal Roads provides with a well curated novels on the front and I liked it personally. There is some room for improvements but it’s not a dealbreaker to me. Developers seem pretty honest with their work as well.

Everything is perfect; barely any ads, both readers and authors are prioritised, my experience has been very great. The only thing not to my test is comment system, it simply does not generate enough discussion about a chapter respective to the amount of viewers a chapter gets and you can’t sort them by date. If the devs tweak the comment section a little then I think this app would be perfect. It is still worth of 5 stars tho.

I love the app ever since came out. It is the ads that get me. I loved it when they were silent. The audio keeps playing at system volume and there is no way to stop it other than reducing the overall volume. It is particularly frustrating when i want some silent time reading. I am not financially able to disable ads by buying premium.
- Probable Fix: WiFi connectivity issue.
- Probable Fix: Sometimes page colors are not restored when moving from chapter page to any other page.
- Fix: Global filter popup did not search by title in the tags box, it only searched by value.
- Fix: Date fields with "ago" display format did not update.
- Fix: TTS not able to skip back from a sentence that has only non-alphanumeric characters.
- Fix: Do not speak ◊ special character.
- Fix: Scroll position did not restore properly when going back to home page from some other page.
- Fix: Restore scroll position on Library page.
- Fix: Auto download all button text.
