HBIMS — Join the Merchant Navy the Right Way
The official app of HBIMS, powered by the HBIMS-NAF&SA™ National Admission Framework from the Humble Bee Education Foundation (a Section 8 Organization). HBIMS guides aspiring seafarers through a transparent, structured journey toward a career at sea — from your first eligibility check all the way to joining day.
Now fully redesigned for a faster, cleaner, and simpler experience.
What is HBIMS?
HBIMS facilitates the entry of maritime aspirants into DGMA (Directorate General of Maritime Administration)–approved Maritime Training Institutes (MTIs) only.
Why use the HBIMS app?
∙ Free eligibility check in under 2 minutes — instant verification of age, education, and more
∙ Track your application stage in real time, from application to joining
∙ Live chat directly with your assigned ex–Merchant Navy career counsellor
∙ Real-time updates on counselling, medical, and document steps
∙ Transparent fees — every cost disclosed in writing before you pay
∙ Apply right from your phone
Built on trust, not pressure
NAF&SA runs on a simple principle: no pressure, no shortcuts, only clarity. No false promises, no job or visa guarantees, no hidden charges. Parents and guardians are included at key stages so families decide together. Medical results are final and respected. It's a process designed to protect the candidate, the institute, and the system.
Who is it for?
Students who have completed 10th, 12th, or ITI and want a structured, legitimate entry into the Merchant Navy. (Final eligibility is decided by the MTI and DGMA norms.)
Download the HBIMS app today and start your Merchant Navy journey the right way.
HBIMS provides facilitation only. NAF&SA is HBIMS's structured facilitation framework — it is not an MTI and does not issue DGMA certificates. All admissions are made by DGMA-approved MTIs.
