STEADIER AUCTIONS, TOUGHER SCORING Live auctions that stay live The auction room used to drift out of sync — you would be mid-bid and the screen simply stopped keeping up, and the only cure was force-quitting the app. We found it: the app was quietly holding several connections to the same room at once, and one dying took the healthy one down with it. That is fixed. Bids land faster, the gavel passes cleanly between auctioneers, and the room holds its connection for hours instead of seconds. Your scoring queue cannot be jammed by one bad ball A single delivery the server refused could sit at the head of your sync queue and block everything behind it — the rest of the match included. Rejections are now final instead of retrying forever, and the run entry itself is clamped, so a mis-tap cannot create a delivery that gets stuck in the first place. Team re-entry Knocked out of the group stage? A team can now be revived into another group of the same stage with a fresh record — while every side they already played keeps their points, their wins and their net run rate in full. No recalculated tables, no lost results. Sturdier on a bad connection Cricket does not always happen where the signal is good. The app now survives DNS failures that used to end a session outright, and we fixed a freeze that could catch you on the very first screen after opening. Plus a long list of smaller repairs across the auction war room, tournament standings and the scoring controls. Every player counts.

Every angle of the same ball, in one place. DRS Cam used to work only on the phone holding the camera. Now every clip of a delivery lives together: switch between angles, put two side by side to compare, and see stump lines drawn from each camera's own survey rather than a blended guess. Umpires and coaches can open the gallery on their own phones without taking over the tripod, and a second phone can record remotely while the first keeps filming. Setting up a tournament fixture no longer walks you through four screens. When the tournament already knows the overs, ground and format, you go straight to picking your squad, with a strip showing what the match inherited and an Edit button for the fixture that needs something different. Grounds now remember their pitch type, so fixtures inherit it instead of asking you again. A new MVP board ranks players on batting, bowling and fielding together, using the same points that decide Player of the Match, so the numbers agree wherever you see them. Weekly takes your best single match, monthly adds them up. Auctions now keep an activity history, so the actions that used to quietly overwrite each other leave a trail you can read back. Pools, team retention and a per-player screen make a long auction easier to follow. Academy attendance asks which batch before you start, so a coach with several batches is never guessing, and an invited coach can now accept their invite. Also in this release: pages load faster on slower connections, live updates hold steadier through network drops, net run rate is correct for tournaments that are not 20 overs a side, a two-innings mis-tap no longer strands a live match, and names written with emoji render properly instead of crashing the screen.

Running a tournament? The player auction is now built right into it. No more registering players by hand or setting team squads one by one. Put a player on the block, let teams bid live, and every winning bid fills that team's squad for you. Follow it all on a big-screen presentation or a live-stream overlay, while each owner tracks their purse and squad from their own war room. Plus smoother academy payments and a batch of fixes.

Player auctions: organizers can now collect player registration fees, and registered players can message the auctioneer directly. Academies: new admin console, staff roles and invitations, stakeholder batch details, and 1-on-1 coaching. Scoring: faster load and a smoother exit from the scoring screen. Fixes: Test match summaries now show the correct over count, plus general stability improvements.

Pick your XI ahead of time instead of scrambling at the toss, with a suggested last XI to start from and your recent matches a tap away. - Tournament points tables that tell the truth. Tapping a team spells out exactly what it needs to qualify. - Run your groups your way. Add, move or remove teams as the draw changes, with sensible guards once matches are played. - Match alerts that read like a person wrote them. "Won by 55 runs", the team badge right alongside, and no more double pings. - Steadier under the hood.

- Tournament qualification scenarios got smarter. The "what if" math for NRR now runs on the server, so the picture of who needs what to qualify stays accurate even when the standings are tight. - Streaming holds up better when things go wrong. Verified tournaments. The Skipper team is starting to verify the tournaments we trust. Look for the blue tick next to the name on the Tournaments tab and inside each match's Info card. More tournaments will pick up the tick over the coming weeks. Skipper Cricket streaming is invite-only. Last week a couple of streams broke YouTube's rules and put the whole channel at risk. From now on, only approved users can stream on the official Skipper Cricket channel. Your own YouTube channel is still wide open. If you want Skipper access, there's a Request button on the Stream Setup screen. Shorter sign-up. We don't ask for your date of birth anymore. You can add it later if you want to play in age-category tournaments. Come back any time. If you delete your account and change your mind, just sign in again with the same number.
