Let's have fun. Core Rules for Declaration You have 13 cards in your hand. You must form at least one Pure Sequence. A Pure Sequence is a group of three or more consecutive ranked cards of the same suit, and no joker is used. You also need a minimum of two Sequences in total. Sequences can be pure or impure. Every single card must belong to a group. A group is either a Sequence, which is three or more cards of the same suit in consecutive rank order, or a Set, which is three or more cards of the same rank but from different suits. No loose or leftover cards are allowed. A Sequence can be longer than three cards. For example, a four card run is completely valid. One physical card cannot be assigned to more than one group. Duplicate ranks from separate physical cards are permitted. Example of a valid declaration hand Your full 13 card hand contains the following groups. Spades 8, 9, and 10 form a Pure Sequence. Diamonds 4, 5, 6, and 7 form a Pure Sequence. This is a four card run. Spades 10, Jack, and Queen form a Pure Sequence. Clubs 9, 10, and Jack form a Pure Sequence. The total number of cards sums to exactly 13. All cards are placed into valid sequences. No ungrouped cards remain. Multiple pure sequences satisfy the rule requirements. Important note: You must physically hold two separate black spade 10 cards. If you only own one spade 10 card, reusing it in two groups is invalid and the declaration will be rejected.
