Very good
I love this application for typing, especially the number rose on the top, which is very convenient for me. I think there should be a little work be done with the haptics. This application can use minimal haptics right now. It is bit on the heavier side, which I think might consume more battery, other than that, the options and features in this keyboard or excellent, I love the gif stickers and emojis clipboard and many more also the themes, thank you, Microsoft for coming up with the application like this, which is more favourable to use by the customer
Microsoft not paying to apple I guess, like Google does
This keyboard keeps disappearing and apple keyboard keeps coming. This is quite inconvenient and irritating. I was having this problem in iphone 11 a year ago. After upgrading to iphone 15, I felt this will not happen. But I was completely wrong. Either SwiftKey uses too much memory which it does not get or gets deprioritized above other app in which the keyboard is being used. Or Microsoft is not paying apple to allow users to use third party keyboards like Google has done for its search engine. Or this is a half baked product which got baked the wrong way and it they try to bake the remaining, it will burn. Either way, this is the worst implementation of any app in iphone that I have seen so far. Apps works flawlessly and smoothly in iphone, except SwiftKey.
Not using just because...
This is the best keyboard I have come across on the AppStore, there are some things which are stopping me use it as a primary keyboard on my iPad, because I love the stock iOS keyboard as there are some features missing in the SwiftKey keyboard from the stock one which I use a lot -
- Keys can flick to reveal the keys hiding behind it (only on iPad)
- Pinching the keyboard to reduce its size, again only on iPad
- Giving recommendations of the emojis without actually going into emoji search mode as in SwiftKey
- Navigation using the space bar of the iOS keyboard or just pressing and holding two fingers anywhere on the keyboard to navigate through text.
- Missing quick search such as in Google Keyboard in which you can simply search something just from the keyboard (you can integrate Bing search in your Keyboard which will be really cool)
- Selection of text by tapping on the keyboard with two fingers multiple times depending on the whether we need to select a word (tap once), select a sentence (tap twice) or tap and hold and drag to select it like a mouse.
And many more features which I will add when I remember
