Newslaundry is a reader-supported, independent news media company. In an industry driven by corporate and government interests, we strongly believe in the need for an independent news model, and a free and accountable press.
Through media critique, reportage, podcasts, documentaries, comics and animation, our stories bring you the latest in current affairs in innovative and engaging formats. Here are our core values:
Ad-free: At Newslaundry, you get to bypass the digital clutter and go straight to the story.

- NewsAble: We have made big changes to make our app accessible. News is a public interest product and everyone should have access to it, without any barriers.
Key features and changes include:
• Talkback and Voice Over Support: Compatibility with screen readers to help visually impaired users navigate the app
• Voice Search: Search by speaking with just a tap, with filters for authors, sections, and tags
• Transcripts, Read Aloud, and Subtitles: An in-built, one-click transcript for all podcasts, and read-aloud functionality for text stories. Plus, subtitles in videos
• Dyslexia Font and Motion Control: Dyslexia font to make text more readable for Dyslexic users, and motion control to help users with ADHD
• Reader Mode: A clean reading format, without any distractions in the form of banners, widgets, and pop-ups
• Colour Filters and Contrast: Colour themes for those with color blindness, alongside a dark mode and light mode. Option to choose between high-contrast and low-contrast designs to tweak the contrast between text and background for better readability
Ratings and Reviews
Subscription option doesn't work
Hi NL. I admire your work in journalism and want to support your channel. However you need to fix you payment processing on website. Also I activated subscription through my iPhone, money got deducted but app still thinks that subscription is not active. I blame your iOS coder for that... Please fix it ASAP you are missing your major funding because of this.

Hi, Thank you for your support and apologies for the inconvenience. We are in the early stages of putting out the app. There are a bunch of issues and bugs we are working on. I believe we mapped you a manual subscription. Incase the subscription is not still mapped and or any other issue please do write to subscription@newslaundry.com
More subscription options on app
I want to support you but there is only one subscription option on the app. It is convenient to buy subscriptions from apple wallet quickly. If possible, please include all subscriptions options and donations options on the app. Otherwise, amazing app and amazing news. Thank you!

On the iOS app, we have only an annual disruptor plan due to some technical restrictions on multiple plans from Apple's end.

Remember this is a subscription based initiative.
Remember they do NOT have any support like our legacy media walas have.
