The Simplenote experience is all about speed and efficiency. Open it, write some thoughts, and you're done. As your collection of notes grows, you can search them instantly and keep them organized with tags and pins. Checklists can be added to your notes to keep track of your tasks. You can also share notes and publish them for other people.
Like Markdown? You can edit, preview and publish your notes using Markdown formatting.
The best way to learn about Simplenote is to try it. You'll be asked to create an account. This allows your notes to be backed up online and synchronized automatically.
After you sign up, try creating some notes! Then go to simplenote.com to download Simplenote for your other devices.

The best note taking app out there
Im using simple not since it was launched and love it to the core. It's simple and minimalist style makes it stand out.. Quick to load and use. Really fabulous app. xo
Had to uninstall right after opening it
What I needed was a simple note taking app. No logins, no signups nothing. I open the app and start typing. The first thing the app wants is my email id, and it's for backing up notes, apparently. If I wanted my notes synchronised, I'd use the MacOS notes app.
2 stars because I literally don't know if it's good beyond the login/signup page, maybe it is.
Perhaps if the login/signup was optional, I'd believe that the actual intention behind collecting that information was for backing up notes, but it's mandatory and that's not "simple"notes.

The account features built-in to Simplenote are for syncing your notes to the cloud. This will let you access your notes on all of your devices — iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, Linux, and the web. We don't currently offer the ability to use Simplenote without an account.

I have been using this app for more than 4 years and I totally love it cause its so simple and it works on all the platforms that exists. It is free with no ads, it is amazing.
