I use this extensively for HIIT and off lately for meditation as well. I have tried several apps for meditation and what they turnout to be is overkill with waterfall music and all. For simple meditation with specific intervals this app serve as absolute charm only thing i wish for if it had some sooth reminder beeps rather than honks and also if it beep once before the end of interval instead of three times, while three beeps makes complete sense from workout POV but from meditation POV it’s disturbing. Right now i resort to only vibration mode for absolute silence but it still vibrates three times before end of interval. I wish there was something in settings to turn the three beeps off.

I have tried several workout timers, and bought quite a few of them. Usually I will use them for about a few weeks and then end up deleting them. They just do not work for my style of workout which is a sequence of different workouts each having a few cycles.This app suited me perfectly! It has a very intuitive UI, and text to voice rendering which was very important for me since I wanted the feel of a trainer voice guided workout. Organizing the workout sequence is extremely easy. The app has a very keen sense of where you are trying to add a new workout, so moving workouts around is usually not required, but if it is, it is just a matter of dragging and dropping it to a new place.The sequence concept is excellent, since it allows me to define individual workouts like crunches or squats with three cycles each, and then string them together in a sequence called core workout.The only feature modification I would like is that the app announces the cycle number in the full sequence. This number does not make sense in a sequence. If I have 10 workouts of 3 cycles each in a sequence (total 30 cycles), then announcing that I am in cycle number 23 has no meaning to me. What is useful is to know if I am in the first cycle of squats, or the second, or the third. That helps me track if my reps for a specific workout are dropping across cycles of THAT workout. It would help if the cycle announcement announced the cycle within a workout rather than within the whole sequence.But this is a minor issue and I pretty much ignore the cycle announcement. [It will also help if the cycle announcement could be suppressed so that I don’t get distracted by it]. But overall, probably the best workout timer app for the iPhone available in the market! Complete value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend that you buy it.

I got this introduced by Surya in Mac fitness gym in Neelangarai. I would strongly recommend this for those who struggle to stay focused while doing their cardio or high intensity training.I usually have the habit of listening to music while doing my functional workouts, but I tend to get distracted with the music or phone calls, but this Tabata timer has helped me to look at the time while I’m doing my workout, which makes me stay concentrated at the routine- Arun Ennum Naan

Using it for my meditation sessions

I use it for a different purpose and not for HIIT. I use the different intervals n simple sounds to distinguish between my various stages of meditation namely basis breathing, prayer, deep inhale-exhale and them deep meditation. I have set timers based on my requirement for each stage and the app simply gives me necessary nudge about each stage in a gentle way. Very thankful to the developers. God bless their team.🙏🏻
