Tata Motors Zconnect 4+

Not very useful app functions like finding chargers, specially non TATA chargers. Why can’t the app make a third party link to google search service to find all available chargers in the area or in the route of the journeys?
So, we have something to rely on to continue the drive. Most TATA chargers are either too far away or not working if we choose the ones that pops up. I see Jio-BP, Voltran, ChargeZone and other private chargers when I search on Google and I choose what ever is available and working. TATA has to embrace this EV culture for better adoption and ease of use.

There should be a way to open the charging port door either from the key fob or the app. It’s a pain to go back in to the car and click the virtual button on the center console or least move that button close to driver window area and if needed can open the door slightly in tight spots and still access it. Now we have to bend over to center console which requires a full door opening. Remember, until you approach a charger screen you would not know if it’s working and we are ready to charge thus-requires to open the charging port door after exiting the car.

Transmission is another gimmicky rotary thing that
made me restart the car a handful of times because it won’t change from P to D.

App does give status of the battery and also allows to run diagnostics, which is nice.

I would recommend this car to anyone for city driving there is no other comparable EV car in this price. It may not be feature loading like other cars but I honestly don’t feel the lack of those features. The delivery process can be improved but I found Nagesh and Andrew and Jayesh who are the sales and service people extremely knowledgeable and patient. Also they had a very helpful attitude most of them realise that buying an EV is a leap of faith for a new buyer and they make sure to explain about all the fast chargers around and all the apps available to help you. I no longer have the fear of running out of charge and only need to charge once in four days. Tata’s sales and service is not what it was a few years ago and the car is well built and sturdy without the feeling of being a compromise. Anyone who is interested in moving into an EV please do so by no means is it a compromise in fact all ICE cars now feel like horrible compromises

The features on the app would have been great only if they were accessible whenever you needed them. Almost half the time they are inaccessible Secondly you need to log in almost every other time which is a tad irritating. Should you forget the password it is really cumbersome to enter the details The app could have integrated details on charging stations into it to make it more wholesome experience Lastly the feature on driving score is good but the jargon used to under each section to better improve driving score is not useful I have reduced one more star Sometimes you enter all the right credentials to log in and you get a response that your phone number does not exist in their record. If you are lucky to get past this stage and enter your password, it says wrong password and that you are being logged out for the next 6 hours due to wrong password The only good experience is driving the car

The login part is getting very irritating. No other app expects you to login as much.
