I own 3 Deco E4 Mesh routers and have been using them for about ~ 4 months along side the Deco app and my experience so far has been great. The mesh network works reliably and provides stable connection to all my connected devices. The app itself is extremely user friendly and I can’t wait for TP-link to provide us with more great features down the line.
They were able to address my concerns which I was able to raise through the deco app about the wireless security weakness highlighted by the early iOS 14 public beta. Today they followed through and provided an update to the mesh network to support a security update with an option to reverting to the older settings to support older devices. I am extremely satisfied with their product and service. Thank you.
Please bring update for repeater option
Some internet providers like jio in india, does not perform well with deco, some websites have problem with internet connection, like instagram, clash of clans, i.e too many times error comes up that internet connection lost, So please comeup with update so that we can connect seamlessly, or please provide update to use deco as repeter mode,and setting up dhcp, because i tried on other routers the repeater mode works seamlessly and connection lost message doesn’t show up. While giving this update, dont lose the connectivity, because deco provides fantastic connectivity with router and access point mode .Well i am using deco m4
Manual switching missing for M4 deco
Overall, the app is great. It does all the things that you wanted to do, but it lacks some of the things that you may want to take control of when the app is not intelligent enough to automatically switch the Wi-Fi. So for example, if I manually want to change the network of my iPad to the mesh Wi-Fi that is closest to me the app does not allow me to do so, sometimes it’s irritating because it is connected to the 2.4 GHz router which is on the 1st floor. So in such cases, it would be great if the app allows me to manually switch to the network that is closest to me. That said, 90 out of hundred times, it automatically switches to the best network by it self. But those 10 times when it does not switch to the nearest network, it would be great if they given option to the user to switch it manually.
