Description

Wordly is the easiest way to manage your writing projects.

Simply start the timer when you begin writing, and stop the timer when you finish writing. Type in the number of words you have written during the session, and Wordly takes care of the rest.

Writing Journal will then save the data and take all the hassle out of keeping track of what you're writing.

There are loads of amazing stats to look at... For example:
- Your words per hour
- Words written today
- Words written this week
- Words written this month
- Hours logged today
- Hours logged this week
- Hours logged this month

Plus, you can visually see your writing trends by view the graphs.

Need to see your writing logs in Excel? In just two taps you can export all of your data in a .CSV file so that it can be viewed in Excel.

Frivolous App, Pretty Okay I Guess

From the lacklustre title I've given this review, you'll guess that I have mixed feelings about this app. It's a very pretty app, and it's got good functionality. It's easy for someone to figure out, and is over all good at what it does.
What it does is act as a glorified stopwatch.
You basically enter a start and end time for a writing session, and then input a word count. The app divides the word count by the time spent on the session to produce average writing speeds. It'll represent this data in a few ways, but this is the gust of what it does.
My issues with this are:
1. What is the point of this, and
2. Why doesn't it do more?
Of course, my first qualm is a matter of personal taste: maybe someone out there really wants these stats, and doesn't want to do some basic maths for them, I don't know. But I'd really like it if the app included a feature that actually allowed you to write in the app, and save your writing. It'd be pretty neat, and save on the annoyance of having to switch between where you're writing to the app.
Overall, as I stated earlier, the app does what it does pretty well. It's just a shame that what it does is so 'meh'.
