本市道路挖掘現地查報App提供嘉義市各公、私立機關之道路施工人員可即時於市區公共道路施工現場，由使用者自主上傳行動裝置GPS坐標資訊，進行施工現況通報、施工進退場打卡、現場照片上傳至本府道路挖掘管理系統，並將現地施工資訊公開於本府道路挖掘便民服務系統，以利民眾即時查詢、追蹤市區公共道路施工狀況，共同監督公共工程施工品質、提升交通安全。
