Bracketocracy (“Licensed Application”) is a mobile application developed for iOS and Android devices. The purpose of the Bracketocracy app is to allow users to create, manage, and participate in college basketball tournament brackets, track results throughout the playoffs, and compete with friends, family, or other users. The primary functionality of the app enables users to: ● Create custom college basketball brackets by selecting winners for each matchup (Team 1 vs Team 2) in every round of the tournament. ● Predict game outcomes round-by-round, with selected teams automatically advancing through the bracket all the way to the championship. ● Join leagues. ● Compete with friends using league invitations. ● Track live game results and monitor bracket progress throughout the tournament. ● View league standings, rankings, and scoring updates in real time. ● Manage multiple brackets across different leagues. ● Receive notifications related to league activity, invitations, and updates. ● Chat with friends within leagues through in-app messaging. Bracketocracy is designed to enhance the traditional bracket experience by introducing flexible gameplay mechanics that help users stay engaged even if early upsets occur. The app provides a competitive and interactive environment where users can enjoy the excitement of tournament play without losing full participation due to a single unexpected result. The Licensed Application may require user registration, including providing a username, email address, and password. Email verification may be required to activate accounts. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials. Bracketocracy may collect certain non-personal and personal information to provide its services, improve user experience, maintain security, and ensure proper functionality of leagues and brackets. The Licensed Application is not tailored to comply with industry-specific regulations such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), or similar regulatory frameworks. Therefore, if your use would subject the application to such laws, you may not use this Licensed Application. Additionally, you may not use the Licensed Application in any manner that would violate the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) or other applicable financial privacy regulations. Bracketocracy is intended for entertainment purposes only. The application does not offer gambling services, real-money wagering, or financial betting functionality. Any prizes, rewards, or league competitions (if applicable) are governed by the rules established within the platform and are not associated with any official tournament organizers.
