• Sign in with Apple or Google now stays inside the app and remembers your Google account — nothing to type. • 14 camera types on the plot — Steadicam, gimbal, jib, Chapman, rail and dolly track, Skycam, drone, PTZ, ped, POV and phone — including two cameras on one Chapman cart. • Microphones with real pickup patterns, and an Audio tab in the reports. • New lights, set pieces, and textured floors and walls. • Camera reports print as a designed PDF, each camera tagged in its plot colour with a position map beside it. • Broadcast zooms read the way crews write them, like 122x8.2. • In the Viewfinder: film textures, a simpler LUT reel, and photo formats.

• Sign in with Apple and Google, handled natively — faster, and it works on a weak connection. • Fixed: the app could quit while holding manual ISO or shutter, or while scrubbing the aspect and sensor dials. • New Macro control: keep close subjects on the wide lens, or switch it off and let the lenses change as you zoom. • Long exposures up to 90 seconds, with a note on screen while the preview is only an estimate. • Staying signed in offline: a failed token refresh no longer signs you out mid-shoot.

THE SUN AND THE MOON, ON THE SHOT The sun path now stands on true north and a real lens projection, so the arc lands where the sun actually is in the frame — on the ultra-wide as well as the main lens. The moon joins it, with its own arc across the full 24 hours and a disc showing tonight's phase. Show the sun, the moon, or both. If the compass reads off, hold the sun button, choose Align, and tap the sun. LONG EXPOSURE, OUT TO 30 SECONDS The Photo shutter now runs past a second: 2, 4, 8 and on to 30. iPhone will not hold a shutter open longer than a second, so the finder stacks the frames in linear light and adds them, the way the night-sky apps do it. The exposure builds on the glass while you watch, and the finished still goes through the same LUT and white balance as any other capture. THE ZOOM RIDES THE CAMERA ITSELF Focal length is now handed to the camera, which picks the glass, instead of switching lenses in steps. Boundaries feel continuous. When a focal length can only be reached by cropping, the lens tag says DIGITAL, so you always know what you are looking at. Settings → General → Labs holds the way back for this release. SMALLER THINGS Cinematic switches itself off after a capture and after five minutes, with a toast saying so — it costs you the long lens and the manual focus ring, and it was too easy to leave on. The record button is a plain red disc now. Torch is called Light; CP primes are Native. iOS Larger Text no longer breaks the layout. And in video, automatic shutter stops at 360° even with slow shutter switched on — the slow rungs are for a shutter you are holding.

ISO AND SHUTTER COME APART Hold the shutter at 180° and leave the ISO to the camera, or pin the ISO and let the shutter ride — each half is now yours or the camera's, independently. Touching EV hands both halves back to automatic, which is the one gesture back to full auto. SLOW SHUTTER, AND A TRUE 360° The shutter can now run past 360° out to a full second, with the frame rate falling to match — past 360° the readout switches from degrees to shutter speeds. Video settings, off by default. A full 360° is also reachable at last; a tracked shutter used to stop short of it. And the Photo shutter slider now runs fast to the right. MANUAL EXPOSURE NOW TAKES ON THE CAMERA Setting ISO or shutter by hand moved the readout but often not the picture. On most iPhones the finder drives all three lenses as one virtual camera, and that camera won't accept a custom exposure — so the value was asked for, refused, and the refusal was thrown away. The finder now hands the job to the physical lens the moment you take manual control, exactly as manual focus and white balance already did, and it reads back what the camera actually did with the value. If you ever found that changing focus made manual ISO and shutter start working, and relaunching broke them again — that was this. THE PICTURE NO LONGER GOES WHITE A stop arriving after a restart could leave the preview a blank white frame while the app carried on shooting, with only a force-quit to recover it. Fixed at the source. UPSIDE-DOWN HOLDS NOW SAVE THE RIGHT WAY UP Turn the phone end-for-end while shooting wide — to get the lens nearer your subject, or just because that is how it landed in your hands — and your photos and takes now save the right way up. Held vertically it already worked either way up. Now the horizontal hold does too.

THE LIBRARY Every frame, take and room scan the app has made, in one place - each with the readings that were live when you shot it: camera, sensor window, lens, ISO, shutter, aperture, white balance, LUT, bearing, horizon, distance and where you stood. Photos, videos and room scans on their own shelves. A shot takes the whole screen and its instruments ride on top of it - one tap clears them, one brings them back - and you swipe between shots. Takes play in place, straight from your camera roll. SHOT LISTS Build a list, name every shot in it, and add rows for shots you have not taken yet. Export it as a PDF contact sheet: the frame, its name, its readings, and a QR code that opens where it was shot in Apple or Google Maps. READINGS THAT TRAVEL WITH THE PICTURE Your captures now carry their full readings inside the file itself. Open one in Photos and it shows the body and lens you framed with; AirDrop it, restore onto a new phone, or open it in Bridge or Photo Mechanic, and the camera, sensor window, focal length, exposure, white balance, LUT, bearing and distance are all still there. A recording logs what changed while it rolled, so the readings follow the playhead instead of freezing on the first frame. Nothing that leaves your phone names your production. SHARPER PHOTOS Frames are compressed once instead of twice, and the viewfinder now opens at full 4K instead of catching up a moment later - so a shot taken the instant you open it is full resolution. ALSO - Burn the False Color map into a capture, in Settings under Shot Info - Room scans open with their own tools: 2D and 3D, furniture, rotate, colour and export - Turn your phone in the Library and it follows; pinch to resize the grid - Recording refuses to start while you are on a call, rather than freezing the camera - Shots taken before this update now find their full-quality originals in your camera roll - Deleting from the Library can take the pictures out of your camera roll with it - Press and drag sideways across the grid to select a run of shots - Video records at 4K by default

Camera Control (iPhone 16 and 17): a light press brings up CamPlot's own lens, crop and exposure controls right in the viewfinder — and the button still takes the shot. The viewfinder now holds the lens you picked instead of quietly dropping to the ultra-wide on close subjects. Smoother lens changes and focus racks. Reliability fixes throughout.

Viewfinder • Settings is now a full-screen control room — every section on one page, no more scrolling inside a sheet. • LUT Library: 18 film looks built in, choose which ones live on the LUT widget, import your own .cube files, and export any look converted for your camera's log format (S-Log3, C-Log3, LogC4, V-Log, Apple Log and more). • Exposure Meter dials now show a tick ruler and follow your finger with a live stop ladder. • Shot Info: choose exactly which fields are printed on your captures, including compass heading and GPS coordinates. • LiDAR: hold the measure button to show a target marking the exact point being measured. • Fixed the Photos "Select More Photos" prompt appearing on every launch for Limited Access users. THE VIEWFINDER GREW UP The finder now runs on a native camera pipeline, and it brought four new modes with it: • Video — record the graded image you're actually looking at, with stabilisation and Apple Log • Exposure Meter — the phone's meter read back as T-stop, shutter angle and ND • Monitor Calibrator — match a monitor with RGB gain and lift readouts • Groundplan Scanner — scan a real room with LiDAR and drop it straight into your plot Plus manual ISO, shutter, white balance and focus; Apple Log and your own LUTs; false colour, framing markers, and tap-to-measure distance. SUN PATH CALCULATOR Drop a pin anywhere and see where the sun travels — sunrise, solar noon, sunset, and where the light falls at any hour of any day. Scout a location before you get there. OPENS INSTANTLY The app now launches from your device instead of the network. No signal, bad hotel wifi, a network with no route out — it opens the same either way. Plus a long round of fixes and polish across plotting, lenses and exports.
