A tool needed by all developers, AmSo Compare lets you perform side-by-side comparison and merge of your directories, files, and their content. It lets you see changes down to the character level and copy changes between two or more different versions of a file as needed. It allows for text wrapping and can ignore file formatting, forgiving differences between line wraps, indentation, line lengths and other programmer coding preferences such as where they put the opening braces after an if statement. It features a powerful inline editor for text and hex files, configurable rules based comparison, and supports N-Way comparisons and automated operations such as code merge, and file sync/update/mirroring.
This well designed application features a clean interface with easy to understand controls and icons. Just select or drag-and-drop in two or more items onto it and you're ready to compare and merge. It also remembers all recent items for each side so you can perform repeated comparisons easily.

Ecco, queste sono le cose che mi fanno inc… di Apple e del mondo che gli gira intorno. Non è possibile provare la app, manco scaricandola dal sito, si deve andare in fiducia giocandosi comunque 8 euro (che non sono pochi). Poi la si installa e non c'è uno straccio di help.Perdendoci tempo (ma pago a che fare, allora?) si scopre che funziona SOLO con spostamenti di righe (o files) da un file all'altro (o da una directory), NON funziona come editor di testo, cosa ELEMENTARE per una qualsiasi versione BASE di programmi similari.O lo dite chiaramente o la fate provare, così fate solo girare le scatole.1 stella, anche troppo.

some improvement are needed. For example:- If the left file have a difference in a line that doesn't have the newline at the end, when you copy that line to the right file the program add also a newline at the end, so the two file appears always different in the directory view, but equals in the content view.- When you open the content view, the program display, to the bottom of the window, the last two selected lines of precedent compared files instead of, for example, the first line of the two current file in compare (a very little bug).- The first time you start the program after you have selected the left directory, the program automatically select the Documents directory of the user like right directory, and start the compare, that must be cancelled to chose the correct right directory.- The three buttons at the bottom of the window should be improved. If you chose a left file that is not present in the right side and press the button "Compare left selected file" it compare the left file with a random (or the last selected) right file. If you select a file from the left side that is present also in the right side, each button "1" "1<->2" and "2" display the same compare.However these are very little bugs that I hope will be corrected, but I think it is a good program very usefull for user that must sync lot of files.One great upgrade should be add the possibility to compare remote directory, very usefull for users that develop web site and needs to sync local and remote site.
This version includes a number of small improvements. It also scans directories faster and maintains their structure on rescans. It had improved cursor and selection in all text editors and fixes alignment issue in Hex editor. And it includes a faster Hex comparison.
