CountedDays now supports iPhone Duo. When it's closed, the app uses the whole display, with its buttons in a bar along the edge. Open it, and your list sits next to the countdown you're editing. Unsaved changes stay put when you open, close or turn the phone. When you share a countdown in Messages, the App Store link now stays inline in the text instead of becoming a large card, and the message says to open the file.

Target dates in another year now show the year instead of the weekday in the list, the widgets and the iPad calendar column. Countdowns whose date has passed now show how many days ago it was in the list, instead of a stuck 0. Fixed the Halloween app icon showing up blank for some Supporter Pack owners.

You can now filter the list by tag. Once you have six or more countdowns and use tags, a “Filter” menu appears next to “Sort”. Archiving expired countdowns then only affects the ones the filter shows. Tapping a countdown in a list widget now opens that countdown directly. Shared countdown files no longer include your tags, so importing someone else's countdown won't add their tags to yours. Supporter Pack owners can now choose a “Halloween” app icon in Settings. Fixed an issue where opening a countdown from a widget could make the list jump down, leave a gap at the top, or slide rows across it.

You can now add a countdown's target date to your calendar. Choose “Add to calendar” to open a ready-filled all-day event, then review and save it. Quickly browsing between months no longer leaves dates unresponsive in the calendar. Fixed an issue where the home screen's bottom bar could stay raised after closing the keyboard.

On some iPads and at some text sizes, the list widget dropped a countdown and left a band of empty space. It now fits more of them in. The widget previews in the editor match the real widgets more closely, on more devices. CountedDays also speaks German and French now, widgets and Apple Watch included.

New: count in weeks! A countdown can now count whole weeks to the big day - great when the days are too many to feel meaningful. The count ticks down on the same weekday as your target date.
