A major update: DarkText OCR now shows you what it read.
Instant preview. After every capture, a card appears next to your selection with the recognized text, the line and character count, and Edit and Copy again buttons. It dismisses itself and stays while your mouse is over it.
Recognition languages of your choice. Pick the ones you actually use, twelve available, or let the system detect them automatically. Fewer languages, better accuracy.
Language correction on demand. Turn it off for codes, IBANs and passwords, where a dictionary does more harm than good.
Fully redesigned Preferences in a dark theme that matches the icon: General, Recognition, Shortcut, Appearance, Permissions, About.
Customizable menu bar icon. Choose the glyph as well as the color, with a live preview.
Refreshed History with search and Command 1 to 9 shortcuts to copy recent captures.
Improved quick editor: trim, merge lines, remove breaks, fix spaces, undo.
Show Last Capture in the menu, to see the text again without capturing.
Localized in Italian on Italian Macs, English everywhere else.
Everything happens on your Mac. No data ever leaves the device.
